Copy and pasted from another forum I'm on.....
A friend of mine forwarded an extensive list of military personnel serving in Iraq who need cards, letters and care packages. If anyone is interested I can send you the list but it's too big to post here.
If anyone wants to help these guys out, it would be a good thing. This list came from a lady at BMC. They sent a lot of cards and cookies at the beginning of the war and are still getting thank you cards. So if you feel so inclined and want to send a little holiday pick me up to some homesick troops, let me know.
Here is the one I picked, there are many more.
Major Richard A. Miller
HHT SPT SQDN 3rd ACR
Unit # 91483
APO AE
09320-1483
asking for books, mags, and treats for soldiers
NOTE: this major has over 9,000 in his regiment...
if you mail to him asking him to
pass out to the soldiers, they WILL write back...
they are desperate for mail....
this unit is the one that lost SIXTEEN soldiers
in the Chinook helicopter...
every one of the soldiers had a service in Iraq
and it was quite devasating for his soldiers
