St. Louis goaltender Brent Johnson turned aside 23 shots in the loss. The Blues are now winless in their last five tilts (0-3-2).

The Blues were once again without center Doug Weight and winger Keith Tkachuk, who are both sidelined with injuries. Weight is recovering from both MCL and pelvis sprains while Tkachuk remains day-to-day with a deep thigh bruise suffered during the Olympics.
