I'm surprised that none of you have mentioned coaching. Coaching wins NCAA. Jimmy V and Al McGuire proved that a long time ago. Also, there's not a platoon system coach left. UCLA comes closest to fitting that bill. For my money Billy Donovan is the best coach left in this. I like Fla talent but I love their coach. The team left that is most dangerous is LSU. They haven't played close to their best game yet. They have two really good guards that haven't been able to do anything. UCLA was lucky to play Mem. Mem is a team that plays 10 or 11 players and those teams always seem to have one bad game in the tourn and that's all it takes.

When will college coaches realize they are not in the NBA? Al McGuire said he could take any two NBA starters and win the NCAA, John Wooden and Adolph Rupp said to take your five best players and play them as much as you can. Dean Smith, one of the advacates of the Platoon system, with all the NBA super stars he had during his career only won two NCAA titles. In my opinion, the best coaching he did in his career was during the last NCAA he won. He played 7 players and two of them only played when he had to.

You see why I look at the coach first They will make you money. By the way, I'll be on Pitino tomorrow night and if I lose I'm still ahead on him.

Billy D.........has been one of the biggest money burners in the tourney before this year......his teams always underachieved........losing to underdogs and sometimes losing early.......look at last year......they win the SEC tourney and then get killed by Villanova........on paper they had as much or more talent than Villanova but got beat.......if you're going to praise the guy then you have to look at his past failures.

In 2000 or 2001 when they lost to Michigan State in the final......that teams was very young.....but thats the last you heard from those guys.......Dupay, Nelson, etc.etc........they never did much after that.....

Respect your opinion but I would think in hoops circles Ben Howland gets the nod over Billy D any day........

all these teams suck.coll bball is down bigtime ,no team is head and shoulders above anyteam.this shit duke team was #1 in the country,anytime before 05 they woulnt crack the top 10 .unc was supposed to suck this year,guess what?they do suck but most other teams suck a little more.uconn ,arguably the best team in the nation,george mason would beat them 5 out of ten times.this is the future,unless the little age increase that the nba has implanted works.
3 white guys are arguably the best 3 players in the country,their is something wrong with that.
how can you give 6pts to anyteam this year,**** that...btw anybody know where you can get some futures on next year champ.ohio st will roll ,oden will be the best player in the country as a frosh.should be enough to win it all .
