kneifl said:I called the one on State St or State Rd and left a message with one of the employees that I needed to speak with Mr. Berkowitz and left my phone number. I had no idea he was the CEO, but they said he was and he works out of the boston office. Not sure if anything will even come of this, we'll see if I get a call or not

* Amateur/Celebrity Golf Challenge Earns Money for the Joey Fund
Oct 20, 2004 10:41 am US/Eastern
A group of 10 amateur golfers will participate in the finale of CBS4?s ?Beat the Pro? celebrity golf challenge that will be broadcast on Saturday October 23 at 2:30 p.m. on CBS4. Saturday?s broadcast is the culmination of a 10 week series of events that featured celebrities in a closest- to- the- pin competition with amateur golfers. During each week of the competition, amateur golfers pitted their skills against the celebrity at a local golf course with each weekly amateur winner being invited to participate in the finals competition that was held on August 26 at the Wayland Country Club. The winner of the competition received a seven-day, six-night trip for two to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Each amateur entrant in the weekly match up made a donation to the Joey Fund to participate in the competition. Those donations were matched by corporate contributions from Dunkin Donuts and General Motors.
The celebrity participants included; New England Revolution Midfielder Brian Kamler, Boston Bruins Forward Martin Lapointe, Boston College Football Coach Tom O?Brien, New England Patriots Fullback Fred McCrary, Boston Bruins Goalie Andrew Raycroft, Pawtucket Red Sox TV Broadcaster and Former Boston Red Sox Catcher Bob Montgomery, Former Boston Bruins Forward Lyndon Byers, 1980 U.S. Hockey Olympian Dave Silk, New England Patriots Linebacker Larry Izzo, and Harvard Men?s Hockey Coach and former Boston Bruins Forward Ted Bonato.
During the finale, the ?Beat the Pro? check was presented to Joe O?Donnell, president of the Joey Fund. ?The Joey Fund is a tremendous organization and it?s an honor to be able to use the resources of our station to help it continue its work to support families afflicted by cystic fibrosis,? said Ro Dooley Webster, director of communications for CBS4 and UPN 38. ?We thank all of the celebrities who were kind enough to donate their time to event and all the amateur golfers who helped us produce a fun and entertaining program,? she said.
The Joey Fund is a Boston-based independent fund established in 1986 that provides financial support to local cystic fibrosis patients and their families. The fund also supports research to discover the control and cure of this tragic genetic disease.
Ten local golf courses donated their facilities for the ?Beat the Pro? competition. They include: Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston; Sagamore Springs Golf Club in Lynnfield; George Wright Golf Course in Hyde Park; Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton; Fresh Pond Golf Club in Cambridge, Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton; Stow Acres Country Club in Stow; Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy; Franklin Park Golf Course in Boston and Newton Commonwealth Golf Course in Newton.
