CHICAGO BEARS +3 (Sunday) - The Bears are a dangerous underdog in this spot, as their defense has proven many times that they can stop a one dimensional offense like Buffalo?s. The Bills had success running the ball opening day against what has been a terrible Jets defense, but their running game has disappeared over the last 2 weeks. Drew Bledsoe has single-handedly kept them in all of their games this season, passing for 310.3 yards per game. However, since I don?t expect a Travis Henry revival against the Bears? awesome run defense, look for Bledsoe to be under constant pressure all game long. While he has withstood all of his tests so far this year, the Bears? defense will be his biggest challenge to date. On the other side of the ball, Anthony Thomas finally had his best game of the year last week, running for 111 yards. I look for him to build on that performance vs. a Buffalo defense that is allowing 149.7 rushing yards per game on a very poor 5.3 yards per carry. Jim Miller has also proven to be effective when he doesn?t have to shoulder the load by himself, so I expect a rather safe outright Bears victory.

I don't think this Bears defense is in the same league as last years. Now they have their best cover corner (McQuarters), their rush stuffer (Washington) and pass rusher (Daniels) all out. After all the narrow margin wins last year, they got a taste of their own medicine last week and I wouldn't be surprised to see a letdown in this spot. They also have the Packers on the following Monday night; if they think Buffalo is the same team that had the terrible record last year, they could be in for a long day.

Da BEARS, DA BILLS

Bears are lucky to be 2-1...

Bills are unlucky to be 1-2...

Just ask yourself one question...if the teams are about even, which they are...who has the best QB????

DA BILLS!!!:thefinger

I think buffalo's passing game will work well against the bears. I agree the Bears will be able to run the ball. but the bills defense has steadily improved. I think they may be able to contain the A-train to around 100 yards. If they do this, I feel like they will be able to put up enough points to top the bears.

Bills 27- Bears 17

i'm listening to local bears pre-game as i type. one point that is being hammered by the bears D is that they are now facing a "pocket" QB. no more culpepper, brooks or vick. so, they are looking forward to "tee-ing" off on the non-mobile bledsoe.

here's my feedback...

as noted above the bears D is very suspect. suspect to see how they will manange a pocket QB with they're current personel. are they going to play serious man against the bills O? WRs' price, moulds and reed will do serious damage. here's the sleeper, the bills TE reimersma and RB/FB centers. a legitimate 5 receiver attack. that bear blitz package better get there quick if thats the solution. the WR's will dominate in man converage - check the bills passing stats, bledsoe is getting it to them regardless of coverage. if/when the bills O spreads and has 3 WR's in, this will be a big problem for this bears D. as far as bills RB henry not getting off - possibly. but, look for his damage to be done with YAC.

don't forget last weeks scenario for CHI. getting out to that 20 point lead and losing outright. this will be in the back of they're minds. also, in the back of BUF's. if behind at any point, and i don't see this at all, BUF can and will come back.

BUF at -3 (basically a pick at home) is good enough for me. not the strongest play of the day but, a play regardless.

i'm playing:

CLE +6
AZ (o 38)
PHA (o 35) - they may get it themselves

strong lean to:

BUF -3

I like the Bears to play keep away and grind it out on the ground with the A-TRAIN. The Bears will dominate the time of possession in this game and wear the Bills Defense down. The A-TRAIN always gets stronger as the game goes on. GLTA

Bears have the following history and it makes me pick them in my top 5, 7-1-1 ATS before Green Bay, and here is the biggie 14-2-1 ATS vs the AFC
