BEARS UPDATE

no chris harris (fs replaced by todd johnson)
no mike brown (ss replaced by mike greene)
no terance metaclf (rg replaced by robert garza)

big losses in the def backfield.....brown is a schocker as he got injured yest in practice...harris was expected as he got injured in last weeks game vs gb....metcalf is not that huge as garza has started this year for ruben brown)

a little worried since both out 2 deep safteys are out and mike greene constantly gets burned when he started a few years ago....todd johnson is nothing special but does play the run well

watch out for te heath miller to possibly have a big bay vs the bears

but also watch for alex brown and wale ogunleye to have huge days vs pitt off tackles

still a 13-10 type game

totally different defense without these two guys in there.....both are solid tacklers and their replacements are not (already cost them on the first td drive by pitt....mike greene is a total liability on defense)

mike greene is horrible......his chicken wing tackling wouldn't make a tackle in two hand touch.....todd johnson is basically a joke

harris and brown were HUGE losses....both are in position and make tackles (esp harris)

I was kinda hoping Orton got hurt on that hit and Grossman would go in, and this is coming from a bears fan to wish that the starting qb gets hurt

orton has had some chances but his problem is that he is completely inaccurate with his passes

however

this is all on the defense and lovie smith.....and i just dont think its our day.....two picks and two fumbles....yet we've forced no turnovers....ball not bouncing our way.
