Feelings of being an infant: temper tantrums, intense needs, feelings of dependency, a state of near paralysis.
Insomnia
Mental confusion
Vagueness
Irritability
Anxiety
Depression is common in the short and long term. In the short term it may mimic the feelings of grief felt when a loved one is lost. As foolish as it sounds, a smoker should plan on a period of actual mourning in order to get through the early withdrawal depression.

sounds like me when I was going through my divorce

Sounds like you since you've posted here

On a serious note, I hope you can do it.
I've had a couple of friends get that whatchamacallit from smoking. One (lung, spread to brain) deteriorated, suffered and died quite young. The other (piss area, somewhere) still lives but went through some nasty treatment where they had to keep entering his body through his <I can't even think about it, let alone type it>

Old School is right...healthy foods and toothpicks.

Mr. Hypocrite, here, will go that route if heI ever decides that 2025 might be worth seeing.

Yesterday was day 22 for me. Just woke up 3 weeks ago in Vegas with a sick hangover and didn't feel like smoking anymore. Been smoking for 13 years, but for some reason I just don't feel like it anymore. No sickness, headaches, sweats or shakes or anything like that. The cravings come, but they are rare and very short lasting. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who is able to quit cold turkey. Just want to let you know it is possible and good luck :0074

Also, old school is right, toothpicks can be very helpful. I have these Australian tea leaf picks that are great, really strong minty taste. Great for me during work when I'm stressed. I used to step out for at least 2-3 a day during stressful work days, but those help me get over it. I stay working at my desk and soon the urge just passes. Also, I used to have to have a cigarette right after or while I had a cup of coffee everyday. I'm drinking a lot more green tea to replace my caffeine intake so that I don't associate the taste of coffee with the idea of having a cig after.

Hope that helps.
