No doubt. No wonder he and Moss got along so well...both left the field while their teams still had to play the game...

Totally classless, and glad the Giants BEAT them.

i guess you guys wanted bellichick to also go down on coughlin since a handshake & a hug wasn't sufficient enough....unbelievable..

The handshake and hug were good, but he shouldn't have left before the game was over. Same thing Moss did a few years ago, and he was pretty much labeled Public Enemy #1 for doing so. It was basically Bill pouting IMO.

Like I put in another post.....Belicheck shook his hand. I hate him worse than anyone, but that was classy. He was basically conceding the last play but nfl rules said they had to snap it.

Nothing wrong with Pats at the end. Just glad they lost.

Not the same thing. He left when they were getting the crowd off the field and all that was left was a snap. I see what your saying, but nothing classless here.

Say what you will.....jealousy is an undesirable virtue. He has been in the big dance more than many out there. Congrats to the Giants..they beat a good team/organization. Oh yeah, didn't they want Coughlin out at the beginning of the season???

New Yorkers can't even win with class. Belicheck went to the middle of the field and congradulated Coughlin. What the Hell was Coughlin doing in the middle of the field if the game wasn't over?
Get over it. They played the better game today. Congrats to the Giants.

Well, maybe I'm wrong. I always thought it was bad form to leave the field before the game was over, even if the outcome wasn't in doubt. I think the best thing would have been to actually let the game end, then shake his hand/hug him, and leave the field.

I don't know, seeing pretty much the entire Patriots team leaving the field when there was clearly another play left just looked like a bunch of spoiled kids that were pissed they didn't get their way so they were pouting.

I'm really glad Bellichek didn't go that route...........:mj07:

:mj07: :142smilie Glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking that way. I couldn't think of a good porn movie name that rhymed with Belichick or Patriots though...

A fumble return for 6 on the final play and he runs back out and celebrates.
I have seen this happen live and in person.
1990 #1 Ark Strollin Nolan Richardson walked off the court with :20 sec left because he was mad at the refs in Austin.
Todd Day hits a couple 3's to force OT and guess who reappears. Strollin Nolan.
I know that would never happen in football, but that game still haunts me to this day.
