not really going to get into all the hate & ridiculous statements about if he shook Coughlin s hand long & firm enough etc. etc. but he definitely got schooled by Coughlin. Giants were certainly well prepared and executed very very well, especially defensively.

I found it interesting that in the game against New York 5 weeks ago, the Patriots had 3 starting lineman out (OG STEPHEN NEAL, OT NICK KACZER, AND TE KYLE BRADY) and New York only got 1 sack. Giants recorded 5 sacks yesterday, but the pressure was a factor on every pass play, Brady was pressured & hit on nearly every single pass play. I've heard both teams confirm that New York only blitzed about 25-30 percent of the time. The front 4 played a tremendous game, and were incredibly atall pressuring Brady. Even when New England went to maximum protection and added Kyle Brady to block, who is pretty much like adding another tackle, pressure wasn't a issue for the Giants, they succeed every time needed.
BB, IN MY opinion didn't run nearly enough draws or quick screens to keep Giants honest defensively. Not sure this would have been successful anyway, but it clearly had to be tried, 5 step drops for Brady had no chance.

Asking Ellis Hobbs to cover Burris, man to man with that much room is begging for problems. Deon Sanders would have problems in that scenario. The SLUGO ROUTE, was a easy touchdown. It's true that with the sideline & endzone, it's almost like getting help over the top. But being singled up on the wide side of the field & giving 6 + inches to Burris your odds aren't good.

Failing to challenge the fumble that looked like was recovered by New England s Pierre Woods was Inexcusable. Certainly looked like Woods recovered & was stripped on the ground by Giants. Was really never showed in slow motion, because network was so quick to commercials, but really had little to lose. Call may or may not have been reversed, but would definitely seem to be worth the gamble in that scenario.

Going on 4th & 13 as opposed to kicking a 47 yard fg makes no sense at all. Several people say kicker was hitting from 60 + in pregame. In a dome, with no wind, no element issues. Passing on a good chance for 3 points seems crazy. Kicker had previously kicked the kickoff out of bounds giving Giants ball at the 40, I'm guessing this weighed heavily on bb confidence in the kicker.

Not at least running on first down, when New England completed pass for 1st & goal from the giant 6 with 2:42 remaining was critical. Bb called for a pass on first down where Moss was open & Brady threw wide. Very risky pass forced by Brady to welckler who was triple covered at the 2 yard line could easily have been picked off. Then the touchdown to Moss, all 3 plays only totaled about 8 seconds. A run on first down would have forced Giants to take a timeout, or would have wasted close to 40 seconds. In the end, those extra seconds were key to Giants scoring.

Coughlin and the Giants were nearly flawless defensively. Their beatable secondary was unable to be exposed because of the tremendous play of their defensive front. Robbins, strahan, osi & tuck played unbelievable. Coughlin always has been a good coach in my opinion. Good to see him win. Evidently he was close to being fired. Always been a solid football guy., think he was in Jacksonville & even at bc as well. Definitely had his team ready, no question.

Anyway congratulations giant fans, they played very solid game, were very well prepared, executed almost perfectly, and were not intimidated in the least.

nice write up

I think not attempting that field goal was a huge play. When it was happening, I was saying over and over , he is not kicking the fg ? I couldnt believe it. Then Brady fails to get the 13 yds on the pass play. wow huge mistake in my opinion.

Stopping Mahoney was another key. No one has stopped him like that the entire year.

I think maybe Bellichek stayed in the tunnel with one second left on the clock for security reasons. Too many drunks grabbing and saying crap on the field and sidelines at that point.

Seemed well deserved to end that way after how NE piled it on so many teams this year. I think it was the Washington game 52-7 . Come on call off the dogs dipstick.

I am from New England originally , and I have rooted for NE in the past. But I really dislike Billy B

I am glad the Falcons got their GM from NE though. Maybe the Falcons are on the road to some type of recovery.
