Jones has been unbelievable to this point and it IS tough to go against a horse that has never lost in his career, but the Belmont just adds too many variables to a race and often seems to level the playing field.

I think class can win here. RHT is a frickin' monster and there is so much potential with this horse and he is capable of stealing the show and doing it by more than just a half length or so.

Nobody else in the field really gives me a reason to bet on them. Eddington doesn't seem like he has it and I don't think the SJ win over Purge was a fluke, so no Purge for me.

I would LOVE to see a Triple Crown and watch history but I just don't think Jones is going to be able to handle Rock in the mile and a half. No mater what the outcome, this race just seems "special". Other horses have had chances at the Crown recently but there hasn't been the buzz like there is for Saturday's race. Hope to see a good clean race!

I like your thinking and if the track stays dry you have a good shot with this one, on a wet surface I am not so crazy about this one though. I'm gonna stick with purge to turn the tables on SJ. At this age 3 yo's can improve rapidly, especially with rest. On a dry track I'll give you the edge here, if it's wet I think Purge cando the jub.

Good Luck OnaJ, but I don't think I can agree with you on this one.....Smarty Jones beat Rock Hard Ten by 11.5 lengths in the Preakness and pulled away on him, so I don't think the distance is going to bother him. However, if RHT gets spotted a little better out of the gate, he could possibly give Smarty a little better shot, but I think even if Smary regresses a bit off the monster he ran in Baltimore, I still think it will be good enough to handle this field.

PenguinFan, if nothing else you have a horse capable horse getting great odds. A horse like that messes with your mind because even though he was beaten soundly by SJ before, the oddsmakers and the trainers must have thought he was a potential prize horse to have him favored in their prior race. Even though SJ has proven to be a better horse than anticipated, Purge is still intriuging. I just think RHT is the one to pull it off Enjoy the race and GL to us! (You too Sharky )
