I was listening to the radio today and they are reporting that Armando Benitez is having psychological problems closing games (no freakin' kidding eh?). From a physical standpoint it is causing him to hyperventilate and therefore hinders his performance. Apparently when he hyperventilates he loses about 5 or 6 miles on all his pitches.

Anyone else hear about this?

I think he is a loose cannon

I think he is a loose cannon

I remember the 1st game of The World Series he blew for The Mets against The Yankees.

And I remember before that when he was with Baltimore, he plugged some Yankee in a game and Darryl Strawberry came charging out of the dug-out and chased Benitez across the field and Strawberry clocked him one on his dome. LOL

Poor Art Howe is stuck with this doughnut !

man, they should seriously think about doin a bullpen by committee....

i think paying ONE player a crapload of money to come in and pitch one lousy inning is pathetic....it's even MORE pathetic when they can't even seal the deal.

they never did this in the 80's.....fawking starers could go atleast 8 innings.....(oh shit, am i finally showing my age???)
