Sure most will say Texas vs USC was better and few can argue, but I think tonight's was best ever because of the drama, rematch, etc. One heck of a game... sorry for Tide fans, but nice job Clemson!:0008

The 3 best of my lifetime saw the heavy favorites lose in dramatic fashion.

I rank my top 3 in this order....

USC/Texas 2006
Miami/OSU 2003
Alabama/Clemson 2016

What do all 3 have in common? USC/Texas had a controversial call by Pete, Miami/OSU had a terrible PI call by the refs, and Alabama/Clemson had 2 controversial pick plays not called by the refs.

I love topics like this. One thing that sucks is that...how many title games have there ever been? I guess starting with the BCS where they at least put a so-called #1 vs #2....and then some before that when it lined up....hell, even some reg season games could be looked at as title games...maybe. Also, even though they started as I think #5...by the time the game started, Miami knew if they beat Nebraska, they would leapfrog everyone else....but a tie would have gone to Neb and that's one of a few reasons Osborne should have kicked extra point.

I would also put last night as 2nd to the USC/Texas game. Funny thing is, I made a lot on both of those games....parlayed Texas w the Over....and last night had both Clemson +6 and Moneyline. So that is rare indeed!!

On that last play....I kept waiting for the flag. Hard to call there and I'm so glad they didn't. Teams run that all the time and yeah its a pick/rub but at the same time the DB grabbed the guy and pulled him in....if he doesn't do that, maybe they call it.

Hurts is great and I think they win if Bo Scarborough doesn't get hurt. That was big. But just think what we're talking about if Alabama wins. 3rd and 16 and he scrambles, throws back across and makes it 4th and 1 and then they get 1st down. Then the WR Pass, and then the long run for a TD. Was anyone else happy to hear the name Jamelle Hollieway?? Man, takes me back to middle school.....loved him and Tony Rice both...Demetrius Brown for Michigan somewhere in there.

But yeah, back to last play. I was waiting for a late flag like Miami/OhioSt. If I'm Alabama on that, I pretty much hold every eligible WR and take the penalty. Worst case scenario is one last play from the 1. Do they kick the FG or go for it...who knows....but it was such an advantage at that point for Clemson. He's got one read, if not there, throw it away quick and go to OT. Same play UNC tried to tie the game with and the DL blew it up. Plus, Clemson had a timeout, so a quick sack and they still get 3.

I'm not making a case for this one to be #2 but man that TX/USC game was unreal too. Oh yeah, this one...great catches by Williams and Leggett....Renfro with another great game vs Bama. On top of everything else, he's the one that made the TD saving tackle after the fumble...turned out to be the difference in the game and kept Bama's D from scoring. There is so much I could say about Bama too....man, the long TD to OJ Howard, I swear we all said, same as last year. Yeah Part 2 was amazing and above all else, coming back from down 14-0 to Alabama. That's a hell of an accomplishment. Congrats to Dabo and Clemson....C-L-E-M-S-O-.......N!!!!
