okay i'm a homer but the UA/Zags game was a classic. Those that didn't see the entire game, keep an eye out for a replay on ESPN Classic in the near future, like this week hopefully.

The last 17 minutes (7+10 OT) were incredible tense, every possession was tight, there were hardly any turnovers and each team stepped up when they needed to. Gonzaga just wouldn't quit and when behind neither would Zona. CLutch shots, passes and rebounds by both teams....truly amazing

For those bashing UA, I'll say this. This was not a case of Arizona playing bad and keeping Gonzaga in the game it was both teams putting out A+ efforts. Gonzaga WOULD have beaten most teams in the country they way played today.

The heart the Zags showed was incredible. I can't even count how many times during that game I said, "Oh my god" or "holy shit" or anything like that. I loved that Kentucky-Duke game in 92, but this one might be the best game I've ever seen.

Not sure if you have read my thread yet, but I basically thought the same thing about the level of play. . . the Zags played like a Final Four team tonight and a ton of confidence. Both teams deserve to continue in this tournament (as its unfortunate that the Zags are out after playing a game like that) and for Arizona, I think winning this kind of a game will be a huge lift especially since they have a few days now to move on from it.

BTW, I didn't hear this directly, but a friend from Tucson told me that he heard Luke Walton say after the game that this team tonight was the BEST team he has faced in his four years at Arizona. Quite a compliment and the way the Zags played this particular game, I think very worthy.

I heard the quote from Luke also on ESPN.

While I love those kind of games I'm not sure I can take many of them as a fan. Man the bar tab went skyrocketing during the second half. THe beers came as quick as big shots fell.

EVERY person in the bar was amazed at that game. The Kansas fans weren't even watching the beginning of their game vs ASU, they were watching the 2nd OT of our game (rooting for the Zags of course).

I also hope that propels us to big things but I think we do just enough to win not really bury people so if we get to NO I see two close games in Anaheim. Thankfully we do have 4 days off to get over this one.

Arizona was fortunate to survive that game with Gonzaga.. Zags had a 5 foot bank shot with 1 second left in game and missed it.

Gonzaga played flawless.. and inspired basketball.. but Arizona showed me something too... they did what they had to to win that game.. They are a worthy #1 seed

Did anybody catch the moment at the start of the 2nd OT when Gonzaga's Fox smiled at the ref and said "Good game, hey?" A true Pete Rose moment, from the 1975 World Series, when he told Sparky Anderson that Game 6 was the best game he'd ever played in, after they lost.

That was so cool that Fox could be in the moment and at the same time appreciate how well both teams were playing.
