Dam I would never had believe that. Some Red states going Blue. Folks must be more peed off then I thought. The house is a wipe out. I mean when guys like Hayworth go down in Arizona. What is total pick up 32. And a 3 seats from Indiana. Hardly a Liberal State. N Carolina/Virgina. No wonder house is changing so big.

The just said "San Francisco" twelve times in two minutes when referring to Pelosi. Yes, she's from SF - that must be KILLING O'Reilly.

Shep just compared Bush to Eisenhower in '56. I think maybe it's past his bed time.

Agree completely about Hayworth. Just stunned it happened. Honestly, when I selected Mitchell on my ballot, I thought it was a lost cause.

Well good morning fellow-political junkies--just catching the results this am. Tuned off Fox last night at 6 but things turned out pretty close to projections.
Was reading over exit polls and as predicted Iraq-and corruption appeared to be the biggies and while war (especially 4 years of it) can be understandible to many--think the corruption issue should send a well deserved message to GOP.
Look forward to next 2 years as it will be much more interesting now.
Only drawback I can see is stock market--as I expect about a 50 point drop minimum when senate is decided.
Glad to see a :) on several here for a change--

I am pleased but, a tremendous amount of damage has been done. In addition why does it take thousands of lives and the arrogant, in-your-face corruption of guys like DeLay, Libby and Abromoff to send a message to this most corrupt administration.

I mean I've been saying this for years. Why didn't the American people do this in 04? Why now after all these deaths? A day late and a dollar short, I guess.

Now for what I've been longing for ever since 2000. The only hope (other than meaningful campaign finance reform) this country has.

Gridlock. Don't let the piece of crap in the White House do any more damage.

The most corrupt admin-Edward?

I see you also are in the opinion mode.

I'll pose this question and then let you present the facts--

Would you like to compare convictions of president and cabinet of this admin and last.

Or lets step over to see what we the people thought in both.

Would you like to compare seats lost in peacetime era after 40 years of dem rule vs seats lost in era where war was prominent factor.

I am guessing no on "the facts" on both counts but am expecting more opinion.

I see little doubt on the facts of either.

A little refresher course from Wikipdeia--

Of course its opinion. Just like yours is. The difference is the great hypocrisy of the Christian right ala Tom DeLay, Ralph Reed, et al.

Your favorite whipping boy never claimed that Christ was a family member like these pukes did. Maybe my mind is just so jaded, but I don't seem to recall corruption en masse during the Clinton years that quite equates to what we have going on now.

Unless of course you want to count the 75 million dollar blowjob.

Wayne:

The question of which administration is the most corrupt is not a matter of numbers, especially with todays politicians who shall we say, are in short supply of ethics. It can only be conjecture.

I think many people find Clintons sexual exploits and lies about them under oath much worse than Bush's invasion of another sovereign without sufficent cause and the subsequent deaths and injuries of thousands. Personally, I find the latter morally much more reprehensible than the former. I think most Americans think otherwise.

As far as your congratulations, thank you but, I believe you have always misconstued my position on things. I by no means am a democrat. I am a fiscal conservative. My big beef at this forum has always been the loss of personal freedoms and the willingness of people to give them up.

If Pelosi starts giving away the farm, I will not be happy. And as we all know, you will now, at least for the next 2 years, get to blame everything on the House of Representatives.

Don't kid yourself...this will be a good thing for Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly, Savage, etc...now they can blast away and blame everything on the stupid, weak democrats...these guys have been far less entertaining and filled with fire in trying to reason out the past few years. Attack/shock radio is much better done and received when you can raise heck about something...the past 2-3 years have given lefties like Ed Schultz and others plenty of material to rise up in prominence. The attempts at spin over the next few days will quickly be replaced by careful stage-setting for the next couple of years (or whatever it turns out to be) of blaming liberals.

Dead on Chad there talking points will be shared each day by email. But the Dems may have learn how to counter. We shall see. All they have to do is throw some popular items to Bush that he does not like. He will veto them. Then Dem's will jump all over it. Dem's have learned something since 2000/2002. Results last night show that.

This is great. I'm sure it doesn't speak well for me that I am watching the pall at Fox News so gleefully.

Everyone enjoys a little guilty pleasure now and then, eh? (...as long as it doesn't involve massage by a male escort sent up by the hotel staff).

I believe they call it Schadenfreude.
Or allah forbid, the Arabic equivalent, shamaatah?

Seems the Rove plans for Dictatorship have been foiled.

Dictators... is that a Washington Dish that Republican Mark Foley was covertly serving the Congressional pages, or is that a Texas Style potato dish that the Bush administration has been feeding the American people for the last few years?

I'm not sure, but I know you can get it with or sans crystal evange-methamphetamine.
