Later Wednesday, the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks visit the Vancouver Canucks for the opener of their best-of-seven Western Conference quarterfinal (10 pm ET, VERSUS, CBC).
The Canucks, who finished with the best overall record in the NHL and are the favorites to win the Stanley Cup, are at -180 to take Game 1 in NHL Betting at betED.com, and at -230 to win the series. Chicago is a +190 underdog to win the series.
The teams have met in the playoffs each of the past two seasons, with Chicago winning both times.
On Thursday, one of the NHL?s most classic rivalries is renewed when the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins open their series at TD Garden (7 pm ET, VERSUS, CBC).
The Bruins are a -190 favorite in Game 1 and the total is 5. Boston is a -210 favorite to win the series and Montreal is at +170.
