Four game seven?s in two nights ? a rare occasion in the NHL, but exactly what we?re getting the chance to watch this season. Last night both home teams held serve with the Flyers beating the Sabres and the Canucks eliminating the Blackhawks. Tonight the Boston Bruins hope that trend holds true as they host Original Six rival the Montreal Canadiens.

The current Canadiens-Bruins odds list Boston as the favorite at -170 on the money line while Montreal is +150. The total is set at 5 with the under currently paying at -120 odds. Visit the betED Stanley Cup odds page for updated odds on this game and all of tonight's NHL playoff betting action.

This will be the eighth time these two franchises have met in a Game 7, but it might bring back bad memories for the Bruins. Last year they blew a 3-0 lead against the Flyers, falling at home in Game 7 after leading 3-0 in the first period. Boston could have ended this series last night, but fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, since last year?s playoffs, Montreal is 6-1 when facing elimination.

Both netminders have been stellar in this series, with Tim Thomas putting up a 2.16 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Aside from a 5-4 win in game 4, Thomas hasn?t given up more than three goals in game and has held the Canadiens to 2 or fewer goals in four of the six games so far. At the other end, Carey Price has posted a 1.85 goals against average and a .942 save percentage, despite allowing 5 goals in Game 4, a 5-4 overtime loss.

If both goaltenders play up to their abilities the way they have throughout this series, it should be a close game, but it can be so hard to predict what will happen under the intensity and scrutiny of a Game 7.

The rest of the Eastern Conference will also be watching this one, as the Flyers and Capitals await their second round opponents. A Canadiens win means that Washington gets Montreal, while Philadelphia would play the winner of the Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay series. A Boston win leaves the Flyers and Bruins squaring off again, with Washington awaiting the winner of Pittsburgh vs. Tampa Bay.
