Why ???????

1. experience and time playing together...many return...lose Diondre Lamonde but look at least as good as last year...will do better on boards and add
Sam Barber (So Fla. transfer) 6'6" 210 ... also,6'9 -310 Aaron nelson is in much better shape..good hands ...will add to workhorse (scoring and rebounding) Michael Williams II (6'7" 210 possible All MEAC)... who was out of position at the post much of last year...looks to improve on his 11 ppg. from the 4.
Bring back floor leader Antonio Webb...about 40% from 3...and add the support from Kory Crumbly (can shoot and is in shape this year), Cleveland Williams and Jordan Carrier...This team should have a respectable season in the MEAC.

2. They BEAT MAINE with these guys last year....
sooooooooooo Maine hammered VT by 21 last Feb
lost to VT by 1 AT VT.......and we all know who knocked out the "Cuse " in March...A much better "Cuse"

3. Syracuse blew out Northern Col by 50 last Nov.
Other.... relative cupcakes to play Hakim and Company were: Albany (17) Hofstra (5) Drexel (20) sienna (22) Binghamton (30)......"cuse" with a new breed (imho) not as strong as last.... is just not in the habit of winning these games by 32+ points.

4. Reality is that Gerry Mac is the man and the rest have to work hard to catch up. Tough to lose talent like Warrick,Forth and Pace... Now plug in the understudies Roberts, Nicholls, Gorman...who?

5. Bethune Cookman lost to decent programs last year but played respectably against...Georgia (-11)
Oregon (-8) Oregon St. (-13) then beat Maine by 1 ....ALL on the road.........

Syracuse beat DII St Rose by 13 before manhandling LeMoyne in exhibition......BUT rest assured....this is not a well oiled Syracuse Machine as yet! I'll take my chances with +32???? Maybe $10 on the ml for $3000 :brows:

I'm just happy the season has started....and BC makes more sense to me in this one..Not a big play cuz , obviously "Cuse" has the better athletes and may blow BC out the doors ....but... I'll start with the big dog anyway and we'll see...gl

Also:

St Francis +6...looking for more D and a slower pace from St francis
JR Enright 6'9 Nebraska transfer and hard-nosed Winston Robinson who was headed to Va Tech before Alleghany for academics should make the scoring a little tougher for the "Red"..........St Francis won by 7 ly at Cornell. Looking for a game in the 60s and 6 is a lot in that kinda game. ............ Cornell won by 6 or more exactly 5 times in 27 tries ly. Not too much different... Taking the 6 ??????
