BG defense question

My numbers show the BG defense as miserable to horrible. Why all the love from the good cappers here? Am I missing something? I realize we all cap the games in our own way but one rule I try (not always succeed) to follow is to never bet on a team with a defense that is ranked in the bottom 15 in D1.

Not sure if I am one of the "good cappers" showing BG love but you are 100% right BG has a poor defense but they have a very goof passing game. I think it isn't so much of a play on stopping the Bulls as it is the better team overall is getting a FG and hook. Bulls are far and away the better ground game but they suck against the pass. When trying to correct things as a coach it is easier to load the box and stop the run rather pull the defense and blanket a pass attack. I see value for both teams but BG has played the tougher sched, but teams have issues defensively and BG is good throwing while Buff can run. All in the points are the biggest value IMHO.

PS.... The book show about a 56% to 44% split which dictates the line going from 3.3 to 3 so I smell no shinanigans... but I have been wrong many time and will be wrong many more.

BG has a db coming back after a 6 week suspension tonight. 1st 2 games he led the team in tackles, after 6 games he's 8th.

With BG defense giving up 6.2 yard per play, their opponents haven't had any third downs !!:shrug:
