For people that are more in tuned with that conference than I am - what kind of crowd will be at the game on Saturday? Will K St supporters take over or will the OU faithful travel well? Any info is appreciated, I like the idea of getting K St at +14 if they will be supported well by the crowd.

Thanks in advance.

OU will travel well, probably a split crowd or 60/40 KState I would guess.

The more relevent issue in my mind is who has more to play for. KState for a BCS game, or OU who already has locked up the Sugar Bowl? Leaning heavy towards the points here. Will wait until it gets bet up to 15 though.

Yeah I am thinking the same - also think if the line is 14.5+ this game sets up for a backdoor if OU come out looking to put K St away early. Roberson and crew is good enough to get in the end zone a two or three times in my opinion - maybe a fourth quarter meaningless TD could give the cover.

Thanks for the answer about the crowd - 60/40 is pretty much what I thought but wanted confirmation.

I am a huge Sooner fan and follower, but not much of a handicapper. Just do the occassional gambling on the side. I was there three years ago when we beat K State in the Big 12 Championship. Don't know if this helps, but as far as the travel went, I thought that OU brought more fans than the Wildcats. Close game then and I think it will be a close game now. We are due for a close game, and in all honestly, Bill Snyder probably owes Stoops a little something for the past three years. Just my 2 cents, opinions welcome.

If the OU senior's lead the sooners to a national title this year...

this is what they have accomplished...

2 National Titles, 3 Big 12 titles, rings from the Cotton, Orange, Rose, and Sugar Bowls (The 4 original big'uns)

Pretty amazing

Can K State run against this OU Defense? I think not! It sure is a large #, but I just think OU wins by 20. (If they want) This is as good of a team as college football has ever seen, up against a very average K State team with 3 losses on a very weak non conference schedule.

I must resectfully disagree. These guys whipped UT, but the remainder of their schedule does not impress me. Do not get me wrong, I feel that OU is a better football team than Mich, LSU, USC, UGA and the other top contenders, but this type of irrational exuberance is unwarranted in my opinion.

How soon we forget that this is the same OU team that needed a fake punt to hold off Alabama. Why don't we all hold off the "greatest team ever" stuff until they win the national title.......

Agree with Cwood on holding off talk of greatest team ever; but that bama game was 2nd game of season at bama; a game they prepared for the entire offseason; the ou team right now is completely different then from the start of the year; now if ou goes on to win the national champ in convincing fashion then that talk can start

Hey guys. Do me a favor and print this page so I don't have to come back and post it again in early January. They will roll this weekend and they will beat USC by 10. Just my opinion!!

Cie Grant: Would you take MICH, LSU, USC, or UGA +10 ?

CWood: Please read bbk reply, now that is a smart man. None of these other teams deserve to play OU. They should play each other for 1st loser.

Respectfully of course.

I appreciate your input. Last season Miami appeared to be "invincible". This season OU appears to be "invincible". Next year another quality team from a good program will appear to be invincible and so on and so forth.

Any parallels to last year?

Very Good Team + Weak Conference + Surprisingly Easy non-Conf schedule (not the fault of Miami/OU) + ESPN Hype Machine

=

Overhyped #1 Team

=

Overblown Spread in Bowl Game

=

Easy Underdog cover/winner on Jan 4th

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$;)

Who thought Miami was invincible??? I didn't the team that blew out Nebraska in the NC game was pretty close to it especially when you look at how much talent went on to play in the NFL that is unquestioned; now last years team; hold the phone; they had alot of close calls and could of easily lost 2 or 3 games; I thought Ohio State had a great chance to play with Miami and they did. Is OU in a weak conference?? Huh they have 5 teams in the top 25 of the BCS that is not weak. When did the BIG XII become weak??? Let me know asap. Is OU overhyped?? I dont think so they have one every game by an average of 5 TD's and have only trailed for a total of 5 minutes all year long all in the 1st qtr; Will OU destroy anyone they play in the NC game; well that why they play the games. Would I play against OU. No freakin way in hell.

OU is better coached and will not self distruct. Miami (showboat U) always has a bunch of individuals trying to gain attention to themselves so they can leave early and go to the NFL. They don't care about the tradition of that school. THEY GOT NO HEART!!!

"the bunker"
to be honest

to be honest

k st doesn`t have any real quality wins on their sched.....nebraska,missou and cal.......cal was the first game of the year(i know, they beat usc)........nebraska is flat out not that good and one dimensional with no passing game........and missou hung in...

i just don`t think this is one of snyder`s best k. st clubs..how the hell did they lose to marshall at home?.....but,i do think it`s one of stoop`s best....

oklahoma stops the run.....if k st has to win on the arm of ell roberson, they have a serious problem,imo.....

k st can stop the run,somewhat.....but,can they stop the pass?....have they faced many passing attacks like this one(marshall?)?.....

i sense another internet groundswell of guys talking themselves out of playing the much better team.....

not saying 14 isn`t a tough nut........but,if i play,it`s the sooners or nothing(actually bet it at 13 -120,but not sure if i`m keeping it).......

i played it because of the defense.......the oklahoma defense....that,to me is the big difference here....

of course,i was on bowling green:shrug:

Just my 2 cents

Just my 2 cents

I have noticed in a lot of threads that everyone has pointed out to USC's and LSU's weak schedule but has anyone looked at Oklahoma's schedule and how the Big 12 has done against the other conferences.

Non Conference schedules for big 12

Okla- UCLA, Alabama, and Fresno
Texas- New Mexico State, Ark, Rice and Tulane (lost to Ark)
Texas Tech-SMU, Ole Miss, New Mex, and NC State. (lost to state)
Missouri- Ball State, E Ill, Mid Tenn St and Ill. (went OT to Mid tenn)
Neb- Utah State,Penn State, Southern Miss and Troy State
Okie St- Wyoming, SW Mo state, SMU and La Lafayette
Kansas- Northwestern, UNLV, Wyoming, and Jacksonville sT. Lost to Nw
K. State- Cal, Marshall, McNeese state, Mass. Lost to Marshall
The only schools who played anybody out side the conference was Colorado who played Florida State, Colorado State UCLA and Washington State.
A&M also played a tough schedule Vir Tech, Pitt and Utah.

What I am getting at is none of the Power Conferences plays any big games against each other and if you notice they play all of these games at home. What would make the BCS better is to make all these teams play more difficult schedules and play some of their non conference games on the road.

CWood97 - at the Alabama game, OU was in the lead and would have pinned Bama deep if they punted but took the fake because it was there. NOT because they needed it to win the game....

I like OU -14, allready played it there All season I have wondered if OU can cover that BIG# and you know what, almost every week they do. Stoops is an a mission boys, and they are going to be ready top play!!!!! ;)
