2-0 +3.5 Units to start things off. Not too thrilled with this week's card. But I do have a play:

Iowa State Cyclones (1.5 units)
Nebraska Cornhuskers
Texas Longhorns (1.5 units)
Texas-Ohio State UNDER

Probably add something on that UT-OSU matchup.

Edit: Have bumped up Iowa State to 1.5 Units and added a play on Nebraska.

Edit 2: Trigger pulled.

Edit 3: Just cant see that kind of scoring

Gonna wait to see what I hear this week from Austin but I am inclined to take Texas against the Buckeyes. I generally dont play Texas games, and when i do it is usually against them. I think my last bet on them was in 2003 v Okie State. In any event, my hesitance comes for 2 reasons:

1. S i posted a few weeks ago the kicking game is dreadful. That was confirmed last night with 3 missed Xps.

2. Greg Davis is calling the plays. Usually in a big game that means curling up in the fetal position and re-enacting his time in the womb. But the team has so muh more confidence and Young can make plays in spite of even Davis.

I dont see Ohio State scoring much, but OU didnt score much last year either. Totals players should really look at the under.

In non-Big 12, FWIW, I have opinions on:

Michigan
Army
Arizona State
Rice

Good call on clemson sun, I still can't believe they were covering in the last minute of the game, but gave up a fg.

Looks like the whole conference might be sh!t this year but maybe TX, and that definitely includes OU who will definitely be losing again soon.

CU should have lost to CSU who gave up 18 pts in what, 2 mins near the end?

OSU beat div 2a Montana St by 5 at home

Kansas and KSU beat the 2 new div 1a teams by 11 and 14 pts, but were both favored over 3 tds at home.

NU beat div 2a maine by 18 at home

Iowa St beat div 2a Ill St by 11 at home

we all know how baylor will do, and with the piss poor performances of A&M and OU, that only leaves Missouri who actually covered by a point and a half against Ark St.

I said back in January that Texas would be the only very good team and tech probably the only good team. I expected OU to lose some this year, but not yesterday. I still think the South goes UT/TT/OU/AM/OSU/Bay. Tech may well only lose 1 game this year. AM actually did better last night than I expected, but Clemson is crap and look how the Aggies did. They still have losses to Texas, TT, OU and probably at Colorado. I still laugh at people thinking they would be good this year. Herbstreit had them in the BCS. Comical.

The North is a jumble of shit. Colorado was my pick, primarily because they get Mizzou at home.

That really could be the make-or-break thing in this game. Playing on the road against a D like Ohio State, you gotta be able to make your field goals.

Looking the other way in the Nebraska game Sun. Wake by no means look great but I think NU need a little more time to get things balanced, especially on offense. I know their record at home is rock solid but see a tight low scoring game with the advantage to the team getting a TD start.

Not to rehash the past but what does anyone see in AM? You are obviously a good capper but i dont get it.

They are 2-9 on the road with mCNeal. They had the nation's 96th worst pass defense last year, and they are losing both corners from that. Two of their top 4 receivers are down with knee injuries. They have next to no depth. And Franchionne makes Mack look like a big game coach. It is as if the whole board listened to Krk herbstreit and decided AM must be good. If Clemson had a red zone offense, or was actually a good team, AM would have been annihilated.

i took tex.a & m because i like teams that can rush for double of what the opposition can......

i never figured that clemson would run for about 180 yards.
