I get a kick out of most of you....Your talking about Manning only having one ring as does Dilfer...Marino has none...Bragging that Ben has 2.....yeah the QB is important but last time i watched football the special teams, 11 guys on Defense, solid O-line...You know where im going with this. The WHOLE TEAM helps u win tites...I get so sick of people only mentioningwhat QB have how many rings.....Ask anyone of them QB if there the reason they won it all and they will give u a big hell no.....Ben is very good but to say he is BY FAR better than Rodgers is very funny to me and alot of other people.
Not a Fin fan at all but to me Marino was as good as they get..not his fault they didnt have a solid team surrounding him.......
nobody said ben was better than rodgers, just stating that ben is above average.
go back and look at most of the superbowl winners and with the exception of a few, they all had above average qbs and without them would not have won

not disagreeing at all. I realize that great teams win superbowls. QB's however for the most part are usually the most important player on those great teams. I know ben inherited a great team his rookie year, and i know with some other team he may not have the rings he does in pittsburgh, but im sayin one thing: DUDE IS ABOVE AVERAGE.
there have been good quarterbacks with good teams before who dont get it done at the rate ben does.
all im sayin is he is good.
dolphins fan here. marino great qb. my all time fav. wish he woulda had more talent around him at times, but he never made excuses so im not going too for him. He has said before that they had some great chances and good enough teams to get it done. Ill take his word for it.

absolutely...Id take Ben on my team anyday. I live by GB so u know who i want but Pitt is actually my 2nd fav team...Love the way they play D and Ben kicks ass when needed.
so do you think if Manning, Brady, or even Brees are on the Steelers they would have the same success behind that garbage line??? If you answer to this is yes, then I would like to have some of whatever you are taking, just saying....
I know exactly what u r saying..U r a homer and ur saying ben is Better than Brady, Manning and Brees......I would take manning and Brady over Ben no doubt...brees id say no.....Pitt has a solid O-line..They run the ball well....its not great this year by any means but it not horrible either. If Pouncy is out that could hurt. Why would Pitt have won and titles if they have manning or Brady???? Cant wait to hear this. Pitt always has a great D so compliment them. Colts and pats never had the GREAT D.
This is why I come back to Madjacks during football season, to read the crap like this thread. I've accepted the fact that 99% of non-Steeler fans (especially here) will give all the Steeler success to the defense and running game. That's fine, but to hear anyone call Ben "average" is just stupid talk spewed by either haters or dumb football fans.

Yes he has a great team around him, but the guy makes plays, period. He's a winner that thrives under pressure. Can we say that about Manning, (check his playoffs record) NO. Can we say that about Brady, (Jets slapped him around for 60 mins, hasn't won a playoff game in years. NO. How about Brees, no.
As for the "great" offensive line? Can someone tell me who was sacked the most last year?
I don't think there is a better passer outside the pocket right now. Easily the toughest QB in the league. 28 and headed to his 3rd SB in past 6 years, ya he's average... Carry on. :0corn :0corn

Nothinglike an opinion from a major homer....Im a fan of Pitt and Ben BUT when i hear homers talking about there team i listen to none of it cus there using there head and there heart..Nota good combo. Im not a big fan of manning by any means but he is friggen super..Lets trade Pitts D for the Colts D the last 6 years and see who has more titles....UM yeah the Colts would...Ben does have one other thing on Manning or Brady....getting suspended for enjoying little girls.
Ben is one of the top quaterbacks in the league. He gets a bad wrap prob from the outside crap that has happened to him. I would take him on my team as the young man is a gamer, period. Two Rings and playing for a third would send him years from now in the hall of fame. Pittsburgs Style of smash mouth offense does not lend it's self to fancy passing records. He is as dangerous as any qb when the game is on the line.:0008
I totally agree he is a gamer..Just have issues with people ripping on Brady and manning)who im not big fans of) If we didnt have Rodgers i wouldnt mind ben on my team. Wouldnt trade Rodgers fro anyone at this moment in everyones career.
Everyone loves Brady and Manning because of all the wonderful passing stats they put up or reg. season wins. When you throw the ball 50 times a game your gonna get big numbers. You can have all those trivial stuff, I'll take rings. Coming up small in the playoffs puts a big dent in the shining knights armor.
