Texas Tech +130 DOG OF THE YEAR

Texas Tech comes into today's game having covered three games in a row in the big dance, including a big win over the Bruins from UCLA in round one. The Red Raiders have covered four in a row, including outright wins over Iowa St and Oklahoma, two other first round winners in the big dance. The Bulldogs from Gonzaga got lucky against Winthrop, winning by 10 in a game that was close throughout. They haven't played a team as physical as Tech all year long. Look for the Red Raiders, as the six seed, to get to the sweet sixteen under the general, Bob Knight.

I believe a very sound call on Gonzaga game. Too much hype not enough bite. I was also thinking the same as you to just play the money line. Good luck today

Thanks Raymond. I always enjoy reading your picks. Todays look exceptionally strong. Do you mind if I ride alone? Good Luck.

One Question...
How many 9 to 14 point Favs have covered so far????
It seems every team in that range is covering..
Thats the only thing that scares me about Illini....
Its got to swing around on those teams (favs covering)

Love your stuff Raymond

Everyone is forgetting this Eagles team won 20 in a row to kick off the year. People who ignore the past are bound to repeat it. BC, if you watched that first round game, looked like the team that won 20 in a row and not the team that lost to Pitt among other teams late in the season. Look for Wisconsin-Milwaukee, who already got their upset and are playing with house money, to come close but fall short in the end losing by seven to the reg. season Big East champ Golden Eagles.

Illinois is the #1 team in the land, and everyone is ready to dismiss them after a gut it out win over the 16th seeded Knights from Farleigh Dickinson in the first round. The Illni have three guys than can explode for 30, Brown, Head and Williams. Expect one of them to do so and for the Illini to cruise by 20 or more.

Wake had a scare in the first round against Chattanooga, but looked alot worse than Illinois in winning their game. Paul is clearly one of the best guards in the country, but if the Mountaineers can shoot the way they did against teams in the Big East tournament, they can beat this team. Herber, Ransey and Pittsnogle can all shoot the three ball. If they can shoot 50% or more, they can keep it close and win against this Deacs team. My guess is they come up a bit short, but they cover the number.

Raymond, the thing about Wake that scares me, is the fact they play little defense. Do you think there guards can stop the 3 barrage by WVU? Obviously, you do!! Pounding Williams and Danelius inside should be w/o a problem. I am scared of the guards shooting and Wake's perimeter dee. Your opinion would be appreciated? Thanks in advance!!

Iowa St vs N Carolina (NCAA Tournament 2nd Round)(CBS)
03/20 at 02:35 pm
Iowa St +16

Everyone that watched carolina biltz oakland u yesterday 96-68 , and got all excited ... calm down!
Remenber oakland won the mid-continent conference, and came into the big dance with a stunning 12-18 record. Are you kidding me ? The cyclones can play a little ball , and getting 16 is ridiculous . Iowa st has covered 11 of its last 14 and should be a piece of cake . take the 16 points and go to the bank
