irish and hoyas looked like nit teams and nova got all the calls with 4 minutes left. robert morris was the better team. of course when you put 8 teams in someone has to win. go marquette.

I have been waiting for one of these stupid threads.

Yep, the MAC and CAA are better conferences...nevermind the entire season.

Nevermind Georgetown embarrassed Duke earlier this year.

The Big East sucks.

They are clearly the best conference, just crazy how they are playing today.

Maybe they need to move the conference tournament to an even earlier date or allow less teams in.

Playing four in a row is suicide.

I don't know if it is the tourney or the season long grind. Playing that schedule every night is what wears teams out. Its every night.

i sure thought so b4 today...i have syracuse to win it all and after today, it looks like the big east is the big Least...marq played in close games all year so no surprise there...

but villanova, though they admittedly struggled down the stretch, was fortunate to get the win today as an 18 pt fav

georgetown, who looked like world beaters in their conf tourney, really never even threatened an ohio team that was the 9th seed in their own conf tourney :scared

notre dame looked like they were one of the hottest teams in the country AFTER goaty goes down and then returned, but they lost too

don't think it a mere coincidence that they ALL looked like shit today...can only hope that syrac and w. virg play as well as we all think they can...but there is one inescapable conclusion that can be reached: AT THIS POINT IT IS NOT CLEAR AT ALL THAT THIS IS THE BEST CONF, even though you and I and undoubtedly hordes of others thought so

Wilson has a point about them beating each other up all year.

Georgetown ran into an unreal performance by Ohio and looked out of gas from last week.

I also think there are 4-5 great teams and 30-35 teams that can beat each other.

The Hoya loss surpised me as well as everyone. I wasn't shocked by the Notre Dame or Marquette losses. Marquette played a bit above themselves this year in my mind but still did well despite the first round bounce.

Though Brey seemed to right the ship with a different syle of play down the strech, ND has never performed well in the tourney under his watch.

I think Nova can rebound and still make a run but who knows. Really think WVU and Cuse are the teams that will shine though. Cuse needs a healthy Onauku and hit their FT's though.

However, the flops today sure makes the conference gripe of the committee screwing them with the rule adjustment a moot point.
