Can yas believe it???.... the most probable Horse of the YEAR (in most opinions, that is) and plenty of REAL hoss racers will be on the track, fighting it out, today at good ole Philadelphia Wace Twack. And plenty of racing fans too...
Got nuthin to write about asfaras the BIG race goes for today. I did check it out and if even if I thought Chrome is not ready to take on the tough competition he'll be facing - I still would keep my moola in my pocket cause there's just too many valid contenders running against him. I used to LUV the big races like today's Pa Derby and no matter how much that LUV costed me I wouldn't trade in those days at the track for anythng. Much more practical about those things these days and just don't see things the same way. That is, throwing money at a GUESS that Chrome is or isn't ready to take them on at a "foreign" wace twack (to him that is) after a discouraging loss and a fairly long vacation just isn't as much fun as it used to be. Betta believe I WILL be watching the race though.
BTW, taking a shot (which I WON'T be doing) with the big favorite in the Cotillion Stakes race today DOES make a lot more sense methinks.
Plenty of playables today and here's two that came up as top rated according to my figures. I like the way the nos. fell into place for these two and both have some real value oddswise too....
6th race, no. 5, Sailor's Revenge (8/1)
7th race, no. 6, Velvet Cap (10/1). The two outside horses in this race look like zacta factas. Didn't decide on those yet, but I will be on V.C. fosho.
