1) Line is really low and public all over SD
2) San Fran needs this game
3) Latos hasnt gotten out of the 6th inning in the his last 4 starts and he's thrown between 91-100 in each start. That is alot of pitches for only a little more than half a game. I think he's is due for a bad game.

Good luck but sounds like the "due theory" and a team "needing it" are your reasons. I would have to think there's something more

food for thought

Latos is 5-0 in road day games with era of 1.10
Bumgarner 0-2 home games in afternoon games

having tailed bumgarner since like his 3rd start (and will big against him today), it seems that the scouts have fig'd something out with him. he's also up to 149IP this year, so his last two starts and all going forward will be career high in innings. he's a fastball/slider (62%+20%=82%) guy, which means his innings are more stressful than a guy like gavin floyd who throws 20% curveballs, 10% changeups, 60% fastballs+6% sliders.

latos since all-star break and "15-day DL"... 23IP, 26K, 11bb, 5ER including 6 shutout innings AT arizona. not like he needed a break. dude misses bats, and the giants are K'g at a not good 7/9ip. season-long WHIP of .99... just sick.

to the "due" argument... san fran's won 1 of 9 v SD this year. sure, they're due, but SD's the better team.
giants v latos:
Huff 0-9, Sandoval 3-9 2k, Uribe 1-9 1k, Schierholtz 1-8, rowand 1-7 3k, renteria 0-3, torres 1-3, velez 1-3.... all of them, 0 extra base hits.

i wouldn't worry about the pads bullpen, they have arms. the giants' pen isn't rested either, they've worked 38ip last 10 games.

Pads available bullpen:
Pitchers Rest G IP H R ER HR BB SO ERA WHIP GB:FB

Tim Stauffer (R)

16 left on base for SD. 11 Ks at bat for SF. pathetic loss. that could be the series right there. talk about the MO swinging. hope this doesn't turn out to be the day SD's season went down in flames.

sleybon, you still think you were on the right side after watching that game?
