For all you know it can be 3 friends from Texas who are oil tycoons who are in Vegas on business and go to a casino and each decide to throw $150 large on the game for entertainment not even knowing the color of the ball and the line moves. I was very interested in what made the lines move. I need to dig for his name if I even have it but they were the only book I used. They have the highest limits online of any sportsbook. They set lines and offer them to a handpicked group before releasing to the public. They aren't afraid of ANYONE's action. For a 1H ML to move 13 cents they got hit with SEVERAL MAX bets. Now since I cant bet there and cant log in I have no clue but I would guess that's several hundred thousand could be 1/2 million or more. Then it moved another 3 cents. Pinnacle is the standard and sharpest book in the world. These guys run circles around Vegas. They are the linesmakers for the online world ! Remember they take all the action from the far east where their bettors make US bettors look like chump change.

Your logic doesn't fit because the 2H was -.5 and look at that result.

T, are you saying Pinnacle sets the lines for Vegas? In my experience Vegas sets the lines for online sports books. You are correct when u say a select few Very knowledgeable people get first crack at the opening lines and Vegas then adjusts their lines based on how these guys bet. Then those lines are released to the public and online sports books. One time I was trying to bet online over night cuz I was tired of getting little to no value. He told me to call back after 8:00 a.m. est once they get their lines from Vegas. This is some interesting stuff never the less.
