Yea the SU lost by IU really bummed me out last night. I couldn't sleep all night thinking about how they just threw this one away by what I thought could be blamed on everyone from the coach down! It looked like they came out and because it was a low scoring first half with IU on top that they should slow the game down and keep it a low scoring afair to win.....I felt this was the first coaching mistake followed by the late in the game Leach riding the pine for an extended amount of time (he wasn't in foul trouble and in fact forced Illinois into many fouls, changed a lot of their shots, rebounded, and played pretty good defense....they have to teach him to turn and go to the basket strong off the pass instead of putting the ball on the ground in the paint.) The players just got roped into playing Illinois games rather then doing what got them the lead in the first half. Illinois was able to do to IU what was done to them in the first half by playing tough in your face defense which created turnovers and bad shot selection. I still just can't figure out why leach sat so long in the latter part of the second half! I sure hope this wasn't another incident where our coach "forgot" about a player on the bench (reference a big game last year with Newton).
Either way, very hard loss for me to accept, BUT atleast I was still able to get the ATS cover and remain perfect on IU games so far this year.
GL countinguy, we will get Iowa.....I just wonder what the line will be. Some value IMO on some of tonights Big 10!
