Minnesota/Princeton

Minnesota didn't lose to Princeton on Saturday. They beat them by 4. It was a push as the line was Minny -4.

Who in your opinion is the top team in the Big Ten this year since you follow the league so closely? Seems to me that this is a down year in hoops for the league as a whole.

MC I agree. The Big Ten is pretty weak this year. I would have to say that the best team is Wisconsin. They have a very good defense and a good coach as well. Im an Illini fan and they have the most talent out of the Big Ten, but have not played well as a team this year. If they can get on track they could dominate this weak conference this year, but Im not sure if they will do that with what they have shown so far.

Thats MO

Totally agree with you CG!! Minny will stink up the court again and their back court is down right AWFUL to say the least. I am on Iowa especially in the FH tonight. I have hit several FH against this MN team this year and a few ML FHs. They seem to come out sluggish and then find their grove in the 2nd half and most the time they don't even do that. Iowa is not a power in the Big Ten but has payed a lot better than the Gophers.

GL on the play tonight!

P.S. MC IMO Wisky and Illini are the top teams in the conference followed by Purdue and then there is a considerable DROP off and this drop is FAR!!

After Iowa lost to Northwestern at home Saturday, Alford is juggling his line up. From what I here, Horner & Pierce will will start.

Not trying to alarm anyone, there are no suspensions.

just some information to add...

alford said this morning he is reducing his lineup to 7 players.
3 players will not make the trip - dewitz, henderson, and hansen. none of those three start but henderson and dewitz do see a little time.
boyd and reiner are probably not going to start because they are playing like sh*t. expect worley and sondy to start.
alford made some pretty harsh comments about the seniors after loss to northwestern. i'm curious to see how/if they respond.

good luck.

one more thing.. those three players aren't making the trip b/c they have a winter class today from 1-4 and need to pass it in order to be eligible for the 2nd semester.

Thanks for the info guys!!

Really appreciate it!

My guess Alford will slow the game down with a limited bench!
Going to play the FH under also and bought back Iowa FH and game.

GL to all!

Will be interesting to see how long Alford leaves Sonderliter and Worley on the court at the start of the game.
Sonderliter is probably the worst big man in the Big-10 and Worley is a foul prone stiff who will not be missed after this season.
Alford is a joke, but we are probably stuck with him for a few more years as he has a long term deal and Bowlsby isn't the type of AD to fire anyone.

I'm on Minny -1 and the Under 145 if anyone cares.....
