80-61 ytd +25 units

I really like three plays today.

Really think I will go at least 2-1 but if I do go 0-3 I will see you guys after the break. Not going to go below the break even point before mid-season.

I have given back roughly 28 units that I was up and I think the tide is going to turn in my favor starting today.

I will post my reasons if I get time on Wednesday and I would love to hear any input on any of these plays as to why you would not play them, because I have not found any reasons not to. I have not decided if I am going to play them on the puck or money line.

Let's get some friggin winners:director: :firing: :bigun: dance2 kurby

No arguments from me on Vanc and TB. Pretty damn close to playing TB myself, as Buff is really hurting on D.

But I was leaning toward NYI. Everyone and their mother knows how Ott has had their numbers, 1 win in what? last 20 meetings or something? But Osgood is finally playing up to his abilities, and their O is playing great right now. I'm BIG on motivation factors when I cap games, and I think the Isles will be up for this game at home to get the "monkey" off their backs. Plus even though Ott has been winning lately, they've really played some soft teams in tough spots on the road. I think the value is on the Isles, but doesn't mean the Isles will win. Just my 2 cents.:)

Good luck tomorrow, bro.:thumb:

Thanks for the comments DDubs-

as you mentioned Ottawa has "owned" the Isles- even last year when the Isles were pretty good-

but I also see a huge edge on special teams for the Sens-

and the Isles are playing their first game at home after a long road trip (even though their last road game was in New York)

Sens very good on 1 days rest 6-2-

Even if Osgood is playing better, Lalime is a better goalie right now IMO-

I still am not sold on the Isles turning things around they are no where close to the Sens in playing fundamental defensive hockey-

but this game could go either way as you mentioned

good luck on Wednesday:D

one other tidbit

The Islanders, who defeated the Rangers, 3-1, at the Garden on Saturday, are 0-11-1 in their past 12 after playing their crosstown rival.

I agree with Van and TB.... my other big one i'm leaning on is also Edmonton...

Regarding Cloutier.... according to this mornings paper he will be playing.... they didn't even mention anything of him not playing.... and if his eye is swelled up... well.... he has another one right :p LOL...

Loving this discussion you have started, Chenker. This is what this forum is all about. I'm always curious as to why each capper makes a certain pick.

Korn, regarding Edm/CBJ. I'm actually on CBJ as I think this is a letdown spot for the Oilers. They just pulled off an huge win in Detroit, playing 5th game in 8 nites. Has a 2 day lay-off after tonite before facing the Avs at home. Kinda tough to get up for CBJ when it's sandwiched in between the Wings and the Avs, and a short break to look forward to. CBJ also is a completely different team at home (7-4-1-1 at home, 1-7-1-1 away).

Good luck, doooood. Hope you go 3-0, cuz that means I would have 2 winners. :D

Probably laying off the Isles now, but Ott is only batting .500 on the road, just got a bad feeling about that oneand I'm always leery of giving .5 on the road.............what the hell am I talking about, I already took the Nucks on the puckline on the road.....LMAO.

:bsflag

Would love to hear HORNS's take on the game, though.

changing my strategy a little bit playing these also.

Detroit - 1/2 -120 2 units
PHI ML -130 2 units
PHOE ML +130 2 units
EDM PK -130 2 units
FLA/LA over 5 -110 2 units

these plays are final, decided against Col/STL over and added Detroit at this time That is reason for edit).
