Mel and the gang at ESPN . I know teams select on need and a few early picks will go to qb's and maybe a edge rusher RB's are no longer top picks but this year Texas Rb Bijan Robinson is a sure superstar in the NFL. His off the field is a 10 A great humble kid that hits the weight room and he so respectful. Having seen him the past few years he is the best rb in the country. By Far.. In these mock drafts they have him going in the 11th-23 rounds. I have never seen a defensive player he ran against hit him Every single player misses on the 1st tackle. He is a ready made rb in the NFL He has good size is powerful and has Barry Sanders footwork. He didn't catch to many out in the backfield but probably has better hands then anybody on the Texas team. There will be few future all pros or Hall of Famers in this years draft but Bijan will be ahead in this class. He is so powerful and quick any team that passes him up in the draft will look back in a year or two and realize they had an opportunity to have him on their team. He is and will be rookie of the year next year and any team even those that need a qb that he is a sure shot. I know many will say that NFL scouts, Mel and GM's know a lot more than me but hopefully someone next year will remember this post and repost this because any team that drafts him has a superstar in their backfield. I just pray nobody in the East conf drafts him since I'm cheering on my Giants . Buy his rookie football card because he is the best prospect in the draft by far. This is not a homer opinion since I live here in Austin but seeing is believing. He reminds me of a stronger more powerful Barry Sanders . I have this feeling that the eagles or Cowboys will draft him. I;m praying they don't but of all the players in this years draft Bijan by far is the surest shot and will be a superstar in the NFL .

thanks bleeding purple He is only 5'11 and around 215 pounds He does the 40 in 4.46 which
was the 6th fastest time at the combine for running backs. His 10 yd split was 2nd best, vertical was 4th He rushed for over 3,000 yds in 3 years and many NFL scouts rank him as the best rb since Barkley of the Giants via Penn St. He is predicted to be a middle 1st round pick. I have watched him these past 3 years and I have never seen someone hit him without missing him 1st. He had a decent off line but he creates his own opening. The top pick LB from Alabama said it best when asked who is the best player in this years draft and he said the running back from Texas . You can find qb's as free agents and edge rushers LB's etc. But any team that passes on Robinson or says we need to improve on our defense or get a qb 1st will lose this opportunity to draft this kid . And his catching ability out of the backfield will be " a home run " type player ready to break one on any carry.

Does anyone know about football cards Is Topps or panni doing a rookie NFL card draft card . Not sure of the worth of NFL rookie cards I know baseball cards industry but not NFL rookie cards in football . Is there a market for them What is a Mahomes rookie card worth ? I Know about Beckett and there prices but really know baseball cards. I bought 1,000 Juan Samuel cards years ago thinking he was the next Willie Mays . I have told the Juan Samuel story before and some might remember that story . Just think if I think that Bijon will be what I think he will be in the NFL would like to have a few of his rookie cards . I have a Texas card of him but not sure the worth. Although I lost money in my Juan Samuel cards its still a legendary story among the students and faculty at PJHS . On face book I still get students messaging me that they still have his card. I tell them the card is worth the same as it was 20 years ago but keep that card and retell the story and origin of the famous Juan Samuel story and how your Principal though everyone would be rich someday.. anyway if someone knows football cards send me a message and who and where do they sell NFL rookie cards thank you I hope your wrong Bleeding purple

On Espn last night Todd mcShay said " the most talented and best player in this upcoming draft is the running back from Texas bijon . He explained why he will be a middle round pick just like many of you said here already BUT next year everyone will look back and realize they passed on a super star I have a feeling on draft day one of the top teams drafting will bypass a qb,DE,LB etc everyone predicted and go to a team and select Robinson And I think Mel and Todd will say " nice pick "
Many years ago I was a sophmore at North Texas My sweetmate { shared the same bathroom} in the dorm was Glynn Hacthegal the captain and All conf MLB. of north Texas We played West Texas st that year and a few yrs before Mercury Morris who went to West Texas St was a all pro with the Dolphins. Rocky Thompson was the West Tex rb and and listed very high in the draft. Glenn told us that when North Texas played West Texas Rocky was very small and "soft " and although Rocky led the nation in rushing was way over rated . But going to the NT library I would read the NY Post or daily News and the Giants were predicted to take him in the 1st round So I wrote the NY Giant GM and gave him a heads up not to take him in 1st round and explained what Glenn had told me Well the Giants did make him their No 1 pick and by the 2nd or 3rd year he was just returning punts and kickoffs and was finally cut . A total bust as a No 1 pick Glen was 100% right He was soft and his body wasn't made for the pro game. footnote.. Glen passed away a few years ago from cancer and he had a twin brother that was a running back for SMU. The joke was although both identical twins one had some smarts and other lacked them. The North Texas one was the one that lacked some. But Glenn was the def captain at North Texas and a star where his brother was an avg rb at SMU
anyway no one listened to me back then and I'm sure no one is listening 50 years later But Robinson will be rookie of the year next year have the greatest impact for any team in the NFL I'm praying the Eagles or Redskins don't draft him . Maybe I should write a letter to those 2 GM's ...and say he is soft, etc

Headline article in Austin sports section this morning " Eyes of Texas on Bijan in NFL Draft". Boles and Golden the two sports writers gave us their take. Eagles will take Bijan with the 10th pick unless the Bears take him right before the Eagles pick . Much talk about Texas not having a 1st rounder selected in years Comparing Bijan to Earl Campbell Jamal Charles,Priest Holmes and Ricky Williams. Only saw Williams run for Texas the others in the pro's . Again I hate comparing athletes from the past to today. I know all about the " shelf" life and salary of todays Running backs The injuries and finding someone else almost as good in later rounds so teams can draft for what they need.
But I will say it again and again and although we don't know yet this kid is the best player in the draft . The two writers of the home team aren't saying it but after watching him play the past couple of years at Texas I have seen the 1st def player miss every time . No one has the balance and vision that he has No one There are backs quicker more powerful more explosive etc Comparing him to an Earl Campbell isn't fair or a Jim Brown, Gayle Sayers Barry Sanders. Todays running game is by " committee " more and situations more then back in the day .
Thursday night the NFL commish will announce " the 1st pick is Bryce Young . But it should be and won't be Bijan Robinson And I do understand the need to draft for need, If you need a qb and Bryce is available you take him. But give it awhile and I will look up this post and say " I told you so or say My bad Only time will tell so we can grade this pick . This will be my last thoughts on Bijan And if the Commanders or Eagles draft him from the NFL east all bets are off on you Robinson You are the enemy now. Take care everyone See you next season or 1st week of NFL week Stay healthy and everyone be safe

Scrapman you can go to any draft and look at the No 1 picks year by year that didn't make it Take my NY Giants ,, they draft a top OL and he doesn't make it . These GM's and coaches and analysist scope and breakdown all these players. From their scores from mental questions to performance on their tryouts to film from their college . Who runs faster, who can jump higher whats his time in the 50,60 yard dash ,who can pump more weights . There are so many comparisons between that these so called experts have to figure out who is a good fit for our team What level did they play against. Are they a B-12 PAC -10 ACC SEC . Every team has their experts GM.s coaches, scouts etc trying to figure out who are the pro bowl caliber or starter or reserve players But we know some teams can draft in later rounds and get a player that was over looked and under valued . Giants last year selected the kid from Oregon Thibodeaux. He was somewhat under sized for a DE but they think he had a lot of upside to play DE or maybe LB. He played well this year but the jury is still out on him. I liked him a lot as a fan and the Jints needed him .
but I think Bijan is the most dynamic player on the board and in a year or two some teams will regret bypassing him in the Draft. I understand their is Carter from Georgia and Bryce and Levi and CJ Anderson from Bama .. Teams that need a qb DE,LB will grab those players and there will be some running backs in later rounds that are solid picks but any team that skips Robinson including the No1 pick will miss out on a future Hall of farmer and the best player, athlete etc in the draft .. Its easy in hindsight to go back and see who are the game breaking players and ask why they didn't select him .. And again I do understand why rb's have lost some value in todays game. But who ever drafts this kid down deep they know they got a steal.. The ESPN camera man that does the video of the Team's war rooms will not be allowed to film after they select Robinson Because those coaches GM.s scouts etc will be doing cart wheels and high five-ing each other . And I'm praying that the Eagles Commanders don't take him either. And when the NFL commissioner announces with the 1st pick on thursday night thru a trade from Chicago or Colts they select running back from Texas Bijan Robinson .. I will just sit back and smile .. now the other steal in the draft in Roschon Johnson Bijans running mate . He doesn't have the numbers of his partner and when Bijan got a fake hand off 11 def players went to stop him and Johnson made a nice run Think he is a 3 rd or 4th round pick

Ricky was too involved off the field with Mary Jane and also baseball, he would have excelled in today's offensive schemes and I thought I'd never see the day where a RB wasn't showcased in an offense and their position would diminish per say, but I feel the RB should be utilized, especially on short yardage plays, RPO or Wildcat schemes, it's worked for Philly, KC, Baltimore and Cincinnati.

I'd love for the Eagles to take B.R if he's available. Mel Kiper Jr says that the RB should not be taken in the 1st round, blah blah blah, hence, tiz why he doesn't work for any NFL team and has pissed off more than 1/2 the former and current NFL Execs with his diahreah of the mouth. Todd McShay isn't much better nor is this Miller nutball for ESPN.

imagine the old cowboys without emmit smith or the 49ers without jerry rice and john taylor

Throw out all the stats, times, power, strength, positions ,analytics etc, etc,etc The No 1 overall pick and best player and most ready for the NFL is Texas running back Bijan Robinson . He is predicted to go to Atlanta at no.8 or Philly at 10 or Dallas or Detriot in late rounds. Mistake Mistake .. Next year after he is the NFL rookie of the year will look up this post if I can find it and say " I predicted this .. Going to be fun tonight watching. Good luck for everyone. If any of you guys know your GM in your city tell them you don't need a qb if you are up 14-0 with two " home run" rushing Td's . You need to stop someone on defense but they are playing from behind and you can make the necessary def adjustments . Again hopefully no NFL east team takes him .. good luck everyone Tonight they will grade the picks but that really doesn't mean much " and with the 1st pick in the 2022 draft ....
