Walton did the conference usa title game with Cinci and UNCC, and he must have called the Charlotte coach by name (Bobby Lutz) atleast 20 times during the game. If you are gonna kiss the guy's ass all game, atleast mix it up with a "Coach Lutz" or even a "Bobby" once in a while. Maybe someone else remembers this game??

And what about James Worthy's calling of the Hampton/Iowa St. game??? He sounded like a moron when Hampton hit the shot to win the game!

Bluegrass!
six/five....

C'mon, you know Billy Packer is the worst announcer in the history of college basketball. I especially hate it when the Cats play the Deacons from Wake.

Neemer, u r right, I can't stand Billy Packer. Especially the way he sucks off certain players ie Mateen Cleaves last year. I had a mouthful of Coca-Cola go through my nose last year during the finals when he said Cleaves was the best player to come out of Michigan State. Guess he forgot about Magic, lol! Cleaves wasn't even the best player on that team last year. Peterson was. BTW, the player of choice this year is of course Shane Battier. I think I'll have to tune to the radio if Duke makes the finals. Larry Conley was even a UK boy, but I still can't stand him. Quinn Buckner was mentioned above, and I wholeheartedly agree he was terrible as well. The thing about Walton is nobody ever did it more or better than he did in his mind. Whatever happened to his first son, Adam, who spent some time at LSU. He was pathetic. At least Luke has some game. I didn't mention my favorite, but that has to be Billy Raftery. I'll never forget the, "Send it in, Jerome!!" call from several years back.

As long as we are bashing Bill Walton's announcing abilities I have to add my 2 cents !!

It tottally sucked having to listen to him during a very big game like that especially with his kid playing !!

He should never have been there !!

Bill's first son Adam is now 24 and a college graduate working for a private financial firm.

Son Nate was one of Princeton's top players again this season.

Has an 18 year old son who is a senior at a high school in San Diego also !! Christopher Walton I believe !

Ala Yogi, "Walton would be a great announcer if he would just remain quiet."
