For Scott 4USC:
I'm not threatened by his picks, I could care less if he picks the opposite side as me. I merely pointed out in my first post, that all of his games to this point are pretty consistent with my own numbers. They have even been pretty consistent with sagarins numbers (i use that so people have access to a database to compare to because half the people on this forum don't even know what rankings are). I just pointed out that it strikes me as ODD that this one game out of all the other 40 or so hes played is a big discrepency of how he came about washington should be -4. I understand he does zero capping and just follows some database. Fine, I just found it interesting that this one game is SO different than my and sags numbers.
And Scott is doesn't boil down to jealousy. I said I hope he wins every pick. Thats what this board is for.
As for him going pay, chit I am a service. Have been for quite some time now. Never advertised here, or solicited here. I could care less if he goes pay or not. The tone of his posts just sounded very similar to Ace and others from the years past.

I really have nothing bad to say to you, except you missed the point of my initial post. I never criticized blastoff or am mad because he lost a play because I've never played one of his plays and enough people here do play them, so why do i want them to lose. All I ever wanted to do is question why my numbers and sags numbers are so far off on this particular game. Not bashing or whatever. In haste I made a comment to Billy after perceiving a response to him as negative. I apologized for it and wished him the best. Of course Washington can cover, I just don't think they will and since I'm in the minority and I said I will leave if they don't then I will. No one will care and this board won't be any worse off.

there's no "discussion" needed re: bb's picks; he's stated countless times he bases his picks based on a particular set of numbers, which he prefers to keep private, & the morning line...no tweaking, no line movement factored in, no sagarin or any other info source considered...so, it doesn't matter what he "thinks", as some ask, about a game that doesn't meet his criteria & he hasn't posted--the fact that it's not a selection says it all...
there are many good cappers here & imo bb is taking his place among them, at least for this short run...& if you have a play you feel strongly about, start your own thread & tell us why, believe me it will be appreciated...

I don't understand why Billy doesn't want to give out the site where he finds his numbers, if it is a public site.
I also don't understand why any Power Rating numbers wouldn't be just as likely to provide the same win\loss percentage as Billy's secret numbers.
But I certainly won't dare ask anyone to explain it to me. After all, information is power. If you are power-hungry, keep all capping info to yourself.

Billy B., I think I was one of the first to question your system. After you explained it I was still a little puzzled but since I do not cap my own games, I really didn't need to know or want to know. I use multiple sites and average their spreads and look at your plays and I play them all and guess what.
The system F'ing works. Bet that does not surprise you. I make about 5-7 plays a day and am running about 70%. It may be luck but I do not give a sheet if it is luck, science, or devine intervention: as long as it continues I am going to ride it.
Also, though you said not too, I have play parlays and hit two 5 teamers.
Screw jealousy, thanks for bringing to light that the books count on us taking the "best play" when it is just a carrot drawing you close emough to get whacked.
