the winners get the key to the city of Birmingham!!

east carolina (+7) 2 units
east carolina (ML) 2 units to win 4.7. I absolutely have to believe ecu will be ready to play today against florida.
the ecu offense gets the attention, but their defense is solid, too, only allowing 3.3 yards/carry. and Florida's going to need to be able to run the ball to have success.
carden may be the most nfl-ready qb in college, but sometimes his decision making is questionable, to say the least. I still like carden and hardy to put on a show against an sec defense.
all that said, there are 3 huge concerns with playing ecu:
1) ruffin mcneill
2) ruffin mcneill
3) ruffin mcneill

just be prepared... even if ecu builds a nice lead, ruffin has a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. ecu could definitely be the next team to fall victim to a ridiculous 2nd half comeback in a bowl game.

almost forgot....

under (56) 2 units. sure, it's almost impossible to play unders right now in these games, but it's hard to see florida scoring much and their d should be good enough to slow down the ecu offense. I'm looking for something like the ecu/va tech game, when ecu jumped out 21-0 in the first quarter, and then stopped being aggressive on offense and didn't score for 47 minutes. sure enough, va tech came back to tie up the game late in the 4th before ecu drove 65 yards in 3 plays to score the winning td with 16 seconds left. final score, 28-21.

well, I initially was going to write that the winners got to share the one prostitute in town with all her teeth, but I didn't want to disparage your lovely city.

I'd be ok with the rain. I don't think it will hurt ecu. although their first loss was on a rainy, sloppy day. so maybe I should be worried. bah, I'm a lot more concerned with ruffin mcneil.

I won't be around to post this afternoon (my better half is dragging me to a brewery. the nerve of that woman!), but I'd say no matter what the line is, florida in the 2nd half is probably a good bet.
