SEATTLE SONICS -5 - The Sonics are off to an 8-3 start, and they will be eager to show a national TNT audience just how good they are this year. They will also look to atone for their first home loss of the season vs. Orlando on Tuesday. While Payton and their fast-break offense gets most of the publicity, Seattle?s success has actually been keyed by a stellar DEFENSE that is ranked #10 in the NBA, allowing a miniscule 87.0 points per game here at home. There is also a matter of double revenge, as the Blazers took both head-to-head meetings in Seattle S/U last season. Portland is underachieving this season like they usually do, as they are just 5-6 S/U overall and 1-5 on the road. If we disregard their lone road win, the 5 losses have been by an average of 10.8 points! They are also in a tough scheduling spot, taking on their 2nd running team in back-to-back nights after beating Orlando last night. I think that this will take its toll in the 4th quarter, when I expect the Sonics to pull away to a safe victory.

Need a little help here.....I don't know if I fully, or should I say "fooly", understand "revenge". Is it the plain fact that one particular team was beaten the last time out, in the same season, by the team they are going to play? If there are other factors please share......The reason I am asking is that Seattle was beaten badly by the Tragic after losing to them the week prior.

SEATTLE SUPERSONICS
THE GOOD
7-0 ATS at Hawks
THE BAD
1-20 ATS when lose SU vs revenge
THE UGLY
0-6 ATS home vs Hawks
