bledsoe for an unconditinal 1st round pick next year! just heard the report on the radio, apparently its not settled yet--but looking good! patriots made out on this also if this is does happen! they already have tom brady and picked up davey from lsu! this will make the afc east alot stronger with the new format with buffalo, miami, new england and the jets all in one division!

I still think Bledose can productive and be a winner but I was suprised that Buffalo made this deal because their offense front is not suitable to Drew's needs.

The Pats have not done well with draft choices the past few years so the deal could still not be that good once we "see what we get".....but we had to move him primarily for team chemistry and avoid the media distractions.

It will make for two more fun weeks when Pats play Buff.

I heard a condition of the trade was that Bledsoe had to start both games against the Patriots next year.

Just joking. Good luck to Drew we will miss him.

I was hoping that the Bears would wise up and trade for a real QB like Bledsoe, but NOOOOOOOOO they had to sign Chandler who's just a love tap away from a career ending injury.:nono:

not a bearsfan- but there o-line is phenominal along with a great running game. chandler is injury prone but has a great arm that is suited for jaurons o. he is cap friendly and i think finally gives them a winner at qb. i really dont think he is going to get hit that much-also he is on grass. the bills are goin to be tough this year- i think they stole bledsoe, he has alot left he is young by qb standards and is a talent he does hold onto the ball to long and needs protection but he still a talent and a definite upgrade.

I am not a Bears fan, in fact I dislike them, but the Chandler signing was brilliant. I was shocked that Cincy didn't make a move for him. Chandler is a superb play action QB and if Chicago uses him properly with Anthony Thomas they will light people up.

agreed with most everything in this thread. Especially thunder, drew will improve Buffalo immensely. He is young having just turned 30. He leaves New England starting 125 out of a possible 130 games. Passing for 30, 000 yards! He has completed over 300 balls every season except his rookie & this injury season. Coming from a season ticket holder who lives in Foxboro, it would be nearly impossible to find a NFL player these days with more class dignity & character. I have never heard Bledsoe in his years here criticize or say a single negative word about any teammate opposing player or media member. He has played with broken fingers, dislocated shoulder, cracked etc. etc.. Unlike Chandler Bledsoe is tough, tough as truck stop steak as someone put it. Buffalo without question stole Bledsoe, and he will pay dividends. Buffalo weather will have no effect on Bledsoe as is from Washington State. Only negative for Bledsoe is this will be his sixth different offensive system in last 7 seasons. Largely this is what has limited his progress, along with terrible talent during Pete Carroll years. In my opinion Buffalo could be a definite over play (futures) next season.

Never been a Bears fan, but having to watch them every Sunday because I live here, I feel bad for the Bears fans. My main beef is that they didn't make a move on Bledsoe and they're going with the same QB who made it VERY CLEAR last year that he's inadequate for a championship run, what with all of his 13 TD's, lack of mobility, constant injuries, and most importantly: Inability to make plays!! So now the Bears have the best back-up QB in the NFL, woohoo. Signing Chandler was a easy and cheap fix, that's all it is. Having 2 decent QB's still don't equate to one good starting QB. I can see it now, Miller plays a few decent weeks, gets hurt, Chandler steps in, does a decent job, Miller gets healthy. Who do they start now? Both are major liabilities to injury and Chandler turns 37 when the season starts. Another QB controversy in Chicago waiting to happen.
