i thought you guys should have drafted brohm b4 gb did. i really like brohm and he would be an immediate upgrade over tj - having said that booty will be an upgrade as well.
because brohm doesn't have a gun, he is better suited for the west coast offense(ike montana) which gb plays & minny doesn't....

I like JDBooty but he locks on to a reciever and rarely checks off to the other recievers.

We briefly chatted about this during the draft... ironically my team takes him in the 5th round. I am not high on Booty myself but what the hell. He is definitely worth a look in the 5th round. I don't like quarterbacks coming from the PAC 10. Why? They play soft defenses... PAC 10 people will tell you to look at the competition USC beat. There are no teams on the list that USC beat last year who play real exceptional defense. Another reason I don't like Booty is because he plays for USC. It is real easy to look good playing quarterback there, they have the best talent around him in the country..
Positives are that he is a real accurate thrower. Size is decent at 6'3. Arm strength is adequate according to Childress.
I do think T Jack has a shot. All be it a slim one. Viking fans should not of expected him to be a superstar last year. He needs to learn how to read a defense and learn to take a sack. Will he, I doubt it . On the positive T. Jack is mobile and his arm strength is outstanding. Also he has B. Berrian and S. Rice in his second year which will move B. Wade to the slot. Much better receiving game than last year. Remember the Vikings pass protection is horrible, did not give T Jack a chance. McKinney is the most overrated tackle in football, Matt Birk is old (What the hell was he doing in the pro bowl) and the right tackle spot is a mess.
Now I know the Vikes will be the trendy pick to win the North. I think they will be better but they were 29th against the pass but the additions on defense should help on paper. I want to see this team play before I crown them NFC North champs.

imo the best value pick in the draft is manningham that the giants drafted in the 3rd round...
