Thank goodness that he looks like he is going to be ok after life saving surgury on his artery.
What a scary thing that must be to go through..one second you are playing hockey the next second you are literally seconds away from dying from a sliced neck...ugh.

scary thing to see. severed the carotid artery just missed cutting the jugular vein. was watching the game on tv and it happened so fast. lots of blood. big props to the sabres organization and HSBC medical personnel for their quick action. weird to think about clint malarchuk, can't believe that was almost 19 years ago. I remember when that happened. almost surprised it doesn't happen more...
