According to the post-dispatch seems that brent johnson left practice yest. with a pulled groin and will not be available for thursdays game vs edm. the blues have chosen to bypass brathwaite and will bring up Curtis Sanford from Worcester. Quenneville was stated as the callup might not last past thurs. but reinforces the message that the position right now does not belong to anyone. How you have 76 pts battling for a 3 instead of a 4 seed and still havent decided on a goally with 4 weeks left in the season is beyond me. Also Tchuck will be out for the next 4 games. This team seems to be heading downhill fast and with all the injuries right now dont know if they can turn this around. Im a season ticket holder and this is very bad news for the blues as im sure we will be getting our playoff packet in the mail very soon and this wont be good as i see numerous people not purchasing these packet. of course for me ill purchase it and bitch when were ousted in the first or second round due to goal tending. Will post any futher info regarding the blues as come available.

Go Habs Go!!
Thanks for the update spuds. :)

There are three teams that have been criticized about not making any changes to their goaltending in the last couple of years: Philadelphia, St-Louis and Vancouver. Cloutier has silenced the critics with his stellar play this year but on the Flyers and the Blues' front, consistency has never been present. One consistent factor that makes it hard to see that it has hurt them is the fact that both these teams play so well defensively. I will continue to predict that as long as the Blues and the Flyers don't get a proven #1 goalie or prospective #1 goalie, they will never, like you say, go past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs. :yup

With all this news, makes you wonder if they are testing Sanford (and probably Divis) to see if they will contemplate trading for Sean Burke before the deadline... to be continued. :)
