Bowl record thru 12/25: 4-2 +6.09 units

Little Caesars Bowl
Marshall vs Ohio

Ohio -3 -103 x3 L

Got to take Frank Solich over a lameduck coach. The Bobcats (9-4 SU & ATS) are seeking their first 10-win season in 31 years and return to scene where they lost MAC championship to Central Michigan. Marshall (6-6, 6-5-1 ATS) is in first bowl since 2004, which wasn?t enough to prevent from coach Mark Snyder being forced to resign. Interim coach Rick Minter takes over as the Thundering Herd look to have first winning campaign in six years.

The players from Athens are 7-1 ATS after one or more consecutive covers this season. Marshall has offensive limitations and feeds running back Darius Marshall (ironic) a load of times, hoping he gets hot vs. ordinary Ohio run D. The Thundering Herd is anything but with 8-22 ATS record having lost two out of last three contests. Motivation is on the side of Ohio, seeking first-ever bowl victory and the most coveted trophy in college football, The Deep Dish Large Pizza (crazy bread included). For geography buffs, these schools are a mere 90 miles apart.

Kazaam, I'm ignoring percentages today. I think there is some piling on for the dogs with so many winning. Just using motivation guesses and old fashioned handicapping. Too tire to write more today, but there is plenty of motivation for these two teams:

PIT -110 x3 W

USC -6.5 -115 x5 W

It looks like weather will be an issue for the start of the game with winds calming down by sunset. It won't be Santa Monica. I like what Temple's HC Al Golden has done with his team. Hopefully he can rustle up a passing attack to compliment the running game. If so, the Bruins are in trouble as they have been run over by good running teams.

Temple +5 -110 x3 L
The Owls were 5-1 ATS for road games.

UCLA ov 43.5 -112 x3 W
With the weather changing in the 2nd Q, I like the over. I think the game should reach 50.

Split the first two today.

From what I keep hearing, Jacoby Harris is not even close to 100%. My numbers show Wisconsin wins. Miami as a favorite have been pitiful.

Wisconsin +3.5 -110 x3 W
+150 x1

Thank you Raymond, Morris, and Rocky. Finished 3-1 Tuesday.

YTD: 80-63 +41.21 units
Bowls: 10-5 +14.93

Humanitarian Bowl
Bowling Green vs Idaho

Forcast calls for 70% chance of snow, accumulation of one to two inches with light winds.

The WAC will try and save face with Idaho and Boise St. The WAC is off to an embarassing 0-2 start with heavily favored Fresno St. going down and Nevada never showing up in Hawaii. Idaho meets Bowling Green from the Mid-American Conference, a league Idaho considers inferior to the WAC, in Wednesday?s Humanitarian Bowl. It?s a virtual home game for the Vandals, who will have most of the 25,000 or so fans in Bronco Stadium pulling for them. Unfortunately, Idaho's defense will go against an opponent, Bowling Green, with a tremendous passing attack and that is riding high after ending the regular season quite well. Just the opposite of the Vandals fade down the stretch.

I look for Idaho to continue to struggle against the spread offense and will ride the better defense of BG as they finished on a high note.

Bowling Green +1 -104 x2 gl! PUSH

Bought the Texas Tech play back at 3 cents on the dollar. I'm thinking Leach is going to get fired and the players might lay down for the game in support of the coach. It isn't worth it.
