Yes Ryan adapts his style to his players I knew him when he coached at UW-Plattevile his style fit with what his players could do national championship he won there. The old saying is you can't win the Kentucky derby with a donkey and that is the type of players he has to settle for at Wisconsin. If he had this years Marquette team he would play a different brand of ball and the team would be one of the higher scoring teams. He knows the game and would adjust accordingly to the players.

You folks can sing all the praises you want about Ryan, but the fact remains that the failure to call that timeout ranks among the biggest blunders in coaching history. Seriously, why in the hell do you not call a timeout to run a play for a good look at the bucket?!?!!? Un-fucking-believable.

Hey - while I am as frustrated about the loss as anyone, I don't know if a time out would have helped much.

The zone CUSE plays is only defeated by ball movement. The little time left that UW had didn't allow them enough time to find a hole in the zone. You can't really run many players against that zone - it is more about moving the ball until you can find a shot.

The Badgers didn't get a shot off in the first 15 seconds of the shot clock all night... did anyone really expect that they'd get a good shot in that instance? I know I didn't - I figured the only way they'd be able to win would be a foul (very unlikely to be called at that point in the game) or an offensive rebound.....

It was a well played game by both teams. Very fun to watch, even though the outcome isn't what I was hoping for...

I scratched my head about the ending but Bo Ryan is the BEST COACH in the country.. I am not a Wisky fan but this guy never has the top recruits and are in contention every year. He does the most with the least when it comes to big time hoops.

I agree: Bo Ryan has made the most of some medium-talented teams. He's a great coach. I also agree that the last possession was poorly coached and played. BUT, the fact that the Badgers were even in that game all the way is a tribute to what Ryan has done all year.

He fucked up at the end of the first half by waiting for the under four timeout instead of using one to stop that run.

I did not understand that at all.
