I don't care what you say, both Texas and Oklahoma are where they are ranked at this point in the season, Texas beat you guys heads up, so you don't deserve to leap frog them. Give up the "well TTech beat Texas," you could go on and on and on and on with that theory.

At the end of the day, YOU LOST TO TEXAS.

So. Cal
go ask the 1993 notre dame team how beating an opponent guarantees a spot in the "title" game

or doesnt

i was told back then that it was about WHEN you lose, not WHO you lose to........so, sorry texas you lost most recently.

But Texas is ahead of Oklahoma in the current rankings...I don't see how you can jump a team that you've lost to already....on a "neutral field." I know it wasn't 100% neutral, but it certainly wasn't in Austin.

Also, I think we need to look at this in the context of where both teams are at this point in the rankings...then go from there.

Honestly, I don't know why I make a fuss about it, because I could care less who wins the National Championship, as long as it's not Ohio State, I'm happy. However, I still think Florida and USC are the 2 best teams in the country. Just my analysis from seeing both teams. I think that would be the best National Championship game.

You have probably the #1 offense in Florida, and easily the #1 defense in USC. That game would get my attention. Otherwise, I haven't actually watched a BSC game(other than to hope Ohio St loses), since 1999.

OU will pass Texas this week solely because of the computers if both win unless some human voters change their votes.

As for "most recent' USC lost the longest ago. I guess they should be ahead of everyone and No 2.

Which is why I hate this system. It's not the actual system that's flawed, it's the priciples that it's based off of.

Every 1 loss team has a case and every 1 loss team has a case AGAINST them. The only thing I do like about the BCS is controversy, it stirs interest.

I believe that Ok should not jump Texas based on their pathetic history of getting blown out in the championship game.

I highly doubt they would mop the floor with them. It would be a very good game. USC's defense is the best college defense I've seen in a loooooong time.

My son's high school team only gave up 17 points in the last 4 games of their season. Their Defense is CLEARLY better than USC's, no? Oh wait, you're right, you really need to consider the league they played in and who they played.

USC shut out Washington and Washington State, a combined 1-16 and they haven't quit crowing yet. On second thought, maybe my son's team defense IS better. If they could only get Washington and Washington St on their schedule...

I love how you guys use childish analogies to make connections. Good luck

That aside, I do agree.

USC D is OVER-rated IMO.

Oh yeah...@ the Red River Rivalry there are actually usually more OU fans.

I would call it a neutral field, but if you HAD to it would fall as a small adv to OU, not UT.

They have the best LB + S in the country. They also have a couple good CB's. Since we probably won't see them in the title game, I guess the only way to find out is when these guys go to the next level.

Tell me, what's so special about the SEC offenses this year outside of Florida

Didnt say anything about SEC offenses.

I said USC D is not an all timer type D.

Hopefully USC gets the leftover BIG 12 team OU/UT in a bowl game. That will be a good indicator of where they really stand...

I agree 100%. Can't wait to see SC shut out OU/UT/Fill in the blank.

The whole system is quite simple. Win all your games and you have no problems, if you lost its your fault, so stop crying and let the cards fall where they will.

SC had an easy schedule, no doubt, but lost to a team that turned out to be pretty solid. Oh well, win the game and we're going to the title game.

BTW, the entire universe has already decided that FLA beats ALA in the SEC title game...not so fast my friend, Bama wont be nor should be favored, but is a good team nonetheless...beware gators

Not true at all. The tickets are split 50-50 for this game. There are the same number of UT & OU fans in the stadium every year.

Count me in as another that thinks Florida will win it all. UT, OU nor USC can hang with the Gators.

The tickets can change hands...there are more OU people at that game, usually, than UT.

I guess OU should never play in a national championship game ever again. On that note let's just never have Ohio St. play in one ever again either. Ok, so two down, who else has a recent bad bowl record. Notre Dame has lost something like their last 8 bowls, they should never be invited either. Only 100 and something teams to go until we can just cancel the national championship game all together. Great argument!:mj07:
