well, it's here. the game we've been waiting for all year. the cheribundi boca raton bowl. what is a cheribundi, you ask? i have no fucking clue. i'm assuming it's kellybundi's french sister.
1st H under (20.5) 3 units
game under (41) 3 units. seriously, who's going to score in this game? both teams are offensively challenged and have good defenses. it feels like the only way this game goes over is with about 6 OTs. or maybe 3 or 4 defensive scores, as both qbs are very generous with giving the ball to the other team.
uab (-1.5) 2 units. i really shouldn't even play a side, but i feel like i gotta. ever since this matchup was announced, i planned on playing the blazers. i damn near changed my mind today, but decided to stick with the original plan. i think uab is the better team and northern ill is going to really, really struggle to move the ball with any consistency. a big factor is going to be 3rd down. while uab's offense is not that good, they are actually very solid on 3rd down, converting 44% (27th in the country). northern ill's defense is in the middle of the pack, allowing teams to convert 38% of the time. on defense, uab is 2nd in the country, allowing teams to convert on 3rd down 25% of the time. northern ill's offense? they are 99th in the country, only converting 36% of the time. crazy shit can happen in football games, but how is northern illinois going to move the ball? you can only run so many trick plays.
