Those numbers don't look to bad to me. Add into that mix he will face a Padre team that is 4-14 vs. lefties and batting .249. I kind of like his chances tuesday.

but i'm curious...he being a lefty....and if he's such a solid veteren, why didn't they throw him into the rotation before....???
I mean, he's gotta be better than Ashby OR Dreiford....right....??

FYI: i'm NOT knocking Dreiford...i actually like the guy.....
Ashby...?? give him a few more games so i can finish assessing him....

Dreifort is done for the season. Tracey said he would use either Ashby or Alvarez in the rotation depending on the opponent. In Ashby's starts since being in the rotation he usually only goes 5 innings and then they turn it over to Alvarez. You might be right he might get bombed tues in SD, but his numbers and SD vs lefties numbers look good for LA. The Dodgers are fortunate to have too many pitchers. Good Luck buddy. Let's hit that under partner.
