Geez, 2 absolutely briliant games by Ashby, Perez, and the BP, and the offense were gracious enough to support them with 1 god damn run in 24 innings. Not even 1 run scored against Dessens, give me a break. Nomo at +150 is always a great price, but not if they can't score any runs. LATimes reported that the lockerroom after the game was as quiet as can be, the players got in, showered, got dressed and shuffled out. If Gibby was still around, he'd be throwing equipments and chairs across the room, and LaSorda would be so loud you'd need earmuffs. It's tough watching these guys play now-a-days

Looks like Giles and Kendall are more than likely headed to SD if there's gonna be a deal by the trading deadline. Pitt is trying desperately to unload Kendall's huge multi-yr contract and Evans doesn't want anything to do with that (one of the few things I actually agree with him on). Basically it sounds like what Pitt is saying is that if you want Giles, you have to take Kendall, too. Dave Roberts is finally back, and hopefully he'll provide some spark at the top of the line-up. I still don't understand why Tracy's so in love with having Cora batting 1, and 2. I'd rather have Izturis than Cora, by far.

Take a look in the mirror, you fawking mook (I sound like RAZ). This guys is unbelievable. Hmm, let's see, you run half-assed to 1st base after hitting the ball, you let balls trickle past you between your legs when you're playing outfield, you get tagged out at home plate after nubbing a pitch wondering if it's foul or not, you run past 2nd and 3rd base without looking at the 3rd base coach, your weight is twice as high as your batting avg. I can't believe this guy still has a job in the majors, and he's whining about lack of playing time. Give me a break.
