England, u.k.
I will be playing Boise State +13.5 vs. Tulsa tonight. This is entirely too many points when all aspects are considered. Let me briefly review why that is the case.

Most experts had predicted Tulsa to win the WAC Conference and once again make noise come tournament time. Well, that is not going to happen. Tulsa has been a major underachiever in every aspect this season. Consider that the Golden Hurricanes are just 10-8 straight up and a miserable 3-14 ATS!!! Moreover, Tulsa is just 5-6 straight up and 2-9 ATS vs. conference opponents. Wait, it only gets worse.

Consider also that Tulsa is 1-7 ATS at home, 0-7 ATS as a double digit favorite and just 1-4 ATS vs. teams with a losing record. For those that do not know, MTV has been chronicling the Golden Hurricanes season for some sort of reality series. This must play absolute havoc with their concentration and ability to focus on the task at hand. Furthermore, it seems that enduring and turning around a disappointing season is tough enough for 18 to 21 year old kids, but is virtually impossible in front of the ever watchful cameras.

Boise State is not a powerhouse, but they are a respectable team. They come in at just 10-11 straight up but are competitive in virtually every game they play. As a matter of fact, they are 10-2 ATS as a dog and 6-1 ATS on the road. It is also worth noting that the Broncos won the first meetings of this series by 4 points as an 8 point home dog. As I stated previously, this seems like way too many points when all aspects are considered.

BB - I agree, as a alumnus, TU has not played up to capabilities, home or away. The collapse vs La Tech has to be devistating, as they gave up a 29-5 run in the second half, most of it due to lack of defense and an abundance of turnovers. This team is just not clicking and the coaching isn't helping.

Boise hasn't been beaten by more than 14 all year (beaten by 14 the first game of the year), and has not played too bad on the road, winning their last time out at SMU. They match up well with Tulsa, as they also run a 3 guard offense. With Tulsa's defense playing the way it is, I would also lean towards the over (thinking the line might be around 145)

I will definitely be playing Boise tonight.

Guys, I agree with the above, but my question is, how can the books justify a 13 point spread??

These two teams matchup about even here. Boise St beat Tulsa in a close game 78-74 earlier in the season. What is the basis for the DD chalk??
