I too had Iowa St and am very pissed but,I'll ask the ? Would their coach call the same plays IF they were NOT in front of the HOMETOWN CROWD. It still would have been the RESPECTFUL thing to do with IST out of time outs and under 1 minute.Just my opinions. :moon: ;)

coach ethic

coach ethic

first let me say I had Boise for second half so the play means nothing to me.

I am a coach in high school baseball. The ethics there are if you are up ten after four innings no more stealing. we have 10 run rule after 5 innings. I have seen it happen where if you do they plunck your best hitter. In fact neighboring town lost all-star pitcher week before playoffs because of this.

I agree it is purpose of defense to stop but when there is less than 30 seconds left and pass instead of run; raises many questions.

Now this is not first time Boise has done this so this is no suprise.

They day goes on hopefully the next time your on the right side

i have coached HS hoops for 20 years and i used to coach some fball ... once we were ahead by 2 in a fball game with 1:08 secs left facing a 3rd and 1 at midfield, yep we broke it for a TD and went up 9 and lost ... had kid fallen down anywhere past FD spot, we coulda kneeled it and won, and I woulda kneeled it, hehe ...

you never know, every year you see some lamebrain coach LOSE a game by doing exactly what Boise st coach did, does it happen often, of course not, did it happen in meadowlands in nfl? yes ... it happened early this year in college game, sorry i forget game, they ran, fumbled and team went other way to win when kneel woulda won it for offense .. why these greedy morons go for more is one of two things: run it up and cover and look better on scoreboard, or they are just IDIOTS--its one or other

tuff loss in boise but by no means the worst ive ever suffered

take care, gregg

Usually, what goes around comes around. Hawkins will take it on the chin a few times before his career is over. He has made the conscious choice to play like this for whatever reason.
