I was wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions thank you

You are on a forum where there's a TON of cappers who win year after year and you ask if anyone knows of any books on handicapping? LOL What an insult to most of the cappers here. Yes, they may lose a game from time to time but if you follow them consistently you are guaranteed to come out ahead in the long run.

There are a few books about that life...

The Odds by Chad Millman, follows 3 people from all different sides...2 bookmakers and one pro, I believe

The Smart Money - Michael Konik, great read about a guy who was a beard for one of the computer guys.

I did read one a while ago, about "beating the nfl" wasn't of a whole lot of use...

It's really all statistical analysis, and just jumping on perceived advantage.

Another good FB read is "take your eye off the ball" by pat kirwan. tells a lot about x's and o's of the game, and is helpful depending on your capping method...

How the hell is it an insult?

Why would you just want to blindly follow people?

What is wrong with learning as much about something as possible? It makes sense to me since you are using your own money right?

How fucking lazy are some people that they trash other people for trying to learn shit on their own.

Those are entertaining books, but they won't teach you a thing.

Why would you want to waste time trying to come up with your own system when there are tons of people on this site who already have a successful system and are more than happy to share it with others? The reason why people lose in the long run is because instead of strictly following the proven winners on this site they insist on adding their own plays. But like you said, it's your own money so do whatever you want.

Holy shit I was right. And I thought my sarcasm detector was broken again.

More power to you but if it was not for people who actually took the time and effort into learning more and more who the fuck would you have to follow?

And asking for books on handicapping is not an insult to cappers on this site.

What's funnier is you can't hit 46% in year on 98 selections and trying to give advice on handicapping. Tell us about those squares one more time.

...and even funnier your sheep analogy to hedgie..appears from results you may want to tail him if you want to bust that 52% profit mark. :SIB

My 2 cents per your question..Handicapping books may offer some insight..but if any were "the answer" there wouldn't be a sportsbook survive, however reading/knowledge is always a positive.

Your best shot at beating the books is single player sports (golf tennis etc) not teams sports.

They are paid by result on each event not contracts and give it their best every time.

Go to any sports book and look at betting limits/juice on foots-hoops and bases--then look at limits on golf or tennis..they are trying to tell you something.

Foots is hardest sports to beat as books have week between events to crunch #'s.

Most people bet sports they like to watch..and does add excitement. The challenge to beat the books is fun..if one can keep it in perspective.

1st tell tale sign a person has a gambling prob or betting over their heads is having to consantly check scores..if a person can't wait until morning to check west coast scores..or check scores when out eating...they probably need to take close look in mirror.

Dogs,

There's another contest starting this week to show how much better you are than everyone else at sifting through the hype and focusing on facts.

Whaddaya say? Are you going to support the site? Or.....

Are you "All hat, no cattle?"
