Boston College comes into this nationally televised contest with one loss (Florida State). The Eagles played a team with a quarterback similar to Vick(Virginia and Hagans), and they won that game rather easily. Yesterday, I read a couple of quotes from Boston College players. They truly believe that they can go into Blacksburg and win this game. I promise you one thing, they won't be intimidated in the least bit. In my opinion, the value on the moneyline is too good to pass up! I won't be surprised when Boston College upsets Virginia Tech tonight, if you want to call it an upset.

I dont post a lot but when i see ridiculous comments like this i do tend to put my two cents in. The game you speak of they one rather easily was actually back and forth all game and BC covered when they broke a late run just running the clock out. If that is winning easily then i would hate to see winning a tough one. This is also the same BC that struggled last week against Wake Forest isnt it?? You now expect them to go into Blacksburg and win straight up?? You must have not only lost your facts but your mind you loon. :scared

Your alias seems like a perfect fit, despite its unoriginality. Here are some numbers from that BC/UVA game which indicate it wasn't as close as you think. I don't care what the final score was (28-17), I watched this game, and I never felt like Virginia was going to win.

Total Yards
BC = 502
UVA = 336

Yards Per Rush
BC = 5.6
UVA = 4.0

Passing Yards
BC = 299
UVA = 185

One final point. You mentioned that I must have lost my mind and my facts. Weren't you the one who came into my thread and questioned whether BC beat Clemson? Now you tell me, who is the loon? I laugh at you!

I think you have an awesome chance at hitting this. VT didn't look all that dominating last week IMO. Vick showed he can't be trusted so we may see more runnning. BC could keep this close as the defense steps up after giving up 30 to Wake. If BC can keep the to's to a minimum, they may bite a VT team looking ahead. Weaker schools may have been more intimidated in this stadium earlier in the year. This will be more of a test for the Hokies.

Not sold on the VT/UVA comparison after all didn't UVA score 5 against UNC? Still solid value on the play and best of luck.

Thanks for the well wishes! I didn't compare UVA to Virginia Tech. I compared Hagans to Vick. They are both running quarterbacks with strong arms. Good luck to you!

Hey Junior read again i never said a word about BC/CLemson game. Is it that tough for you to read a post and not get confused. Do me a favor dont show me stats because i can show a million games where one teams stats favor them and they get beat. The fact still remains it was 21-17 late in the game.

My final point is simple thru this whole thread, how did BC do Thursday night????
