I imagine Buddy that at our age you don't drink bottled water either. can't see paying for something I get free.
Saw ad on tv where Evian is most popular bottled water. To those people I would say next time they opt to get one out of frig in lieu of cold tap water--go to bathroom take a drink-hold bottle in front of mirror and read label :)

When I lived in Texas and Wisconsin, I would buy a few big bottles and just refill them from the tap and throw them in the fridge (I like my water cold).

But when I lived in South Dakota, there was no choice. The water was just disgusting. Even when I was really hungover and had bad cottonmouth, I couldn't stand it. I could usually get gallon jugs at the store for like 60 cents, so I went that route most of the time, and also took several empty bottles into work for the ol' Culligan water fillup. I always figured a rural state like SD would have great water, but it was honestly horrible.

Phoenix seems to be almost as bad as SD, so I'm back buying the gallon jugs. Not quite as bad, but bad.

I drink some of the flavored bottled waters, but they have those kool-aid type packets you can add now to water bottles, and it's just as good even with tap water in recycled bottles.

Wayne, our water here is so bad that if we can drink it, we can drink about anything. I had to have my water heater replaced a few weeks ago, and you would not believe the sludge that was in the bottom of that thing. It was so bad, that we had to muscle it out (wouldn't drain with the hose). We got it to the edge of the outside door and popped off the drain, and out came this orange, rusty soup. NASTY!! The plumber who helped me with it said BG has horrible water. He was from Owensboro, and he said their whole water source is drawn from 3 huge artesian wells.

I don't have any problem with our tap water, and I drink it all the time. Actually, I've been able to drink tap water from everywhere I've ever been and thought it tasted ok (except for third world countries where it's not safe to do so). Water is water to me.

I can't drink water with lots of sulfer in it because of smell.

Don't want to make anyone sick--but in childhood lived on farm where most people had cisterns which (for those that don't know) catch rainwater from gutters. These were generally cleaned every couple of years and you have not seen gross till you seen stuff come out of bottom of these.
