ah the joys of home ownership............................. :D last week one of my family members overflowed the upstairs hallway bathroom toilet , I didn't realize what was happening untill I heard water pouring and I mean pouring threw a vent in another bathroom all the way at the other end of my house, which is located "downstairs" and to add to that , water was also coming threw another vent in my downstairs laundry room...................... on top of that , I have a slow leak under my kitchen sink that I discovered last week also and my heater sounds like its going to freakin blow up..............ANY SECOND!!!!!!!! Moral of the story , get a good home owners insurance plan and know that when it rains it pours LITERALLY!!! and everything always breaks at once................LMAO

good luck ACE!!!!!!!!!!;)

in addition to homeowners insurance it's good for homeowners to have a warranty contract on a few items(ie-heater, a/c. etc.).

Get replacement cost homeowners insurance. The insurance company depreciates everything when you put in a claim for anything. Cost is a little more but well worth it.

Enjoy your new home.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Good Job Ace...........
Your on the path to financial freedom,LOLOLOL:)

Lots of good advice here!

Curioius as to where you purchased, I have a good friend just starting to look at the D.C. area, and wondering what you found as far as the market there?

Also, make sure you give yourself enough time between your move date and your closing(escrow). This will help you with things you will want to take care of BEFORE moving in. Most dont look at that as they are so excited to get in, then they decide to paint, recarpet, do extensive cleaning. All those much easier before you move!!!

Congrats again;)
